Role Description
This is a full-time, on-site role for a Chief Financial Officer located in Cape Breton, NS. The Chief Financial Officer will oversee financial management, including financial planning, reporting, and the development of financial strategies to ensure organizational sustainability. Key responsibilities include preparation and analysis of financial statements, budget management, and compliance with regulatory financial requirements. The role will also involve fostering financial best practices and supporting decision-making through insightful financial analysis.
Qualifications
- Expertise in Financial Planning and developing strategies to achieve organizational goals.
- Proficiency in analyzing Financial Statements and Financial Reporting with high attention to detail.
- Strong background in Finance and exceptional Analytical Skills to support data-driven decision-making.
- Leadership and team management experience in a financial context.
- Advanced knowledge of accounting principles, budgeting, and financial compliance regulations.
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field;
- CPA designation required.
- Proven experience in financial leadership roles, ideally within the non-profit or community development sector.
- Strong communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
