Our client is a fast-growing, private equity-backed healthcare platform focused on the dental clinic market in Germany. The group operates a network of high-quality clinics with a particular focus on implantology, operational excellence and digitally driven patient acquisition.
Backed by an operationally hands-on mid-market investor with extensive restructuring and transformation expertise, the business is pursuing an ambitious buy-and-build strategy and is seeking a highly driven CFO to support the next phase of scaling, integration and professionalization.
The CFO will work closely with an experienced leadership team with strong healthcare, operational and value-creation expertise. The role is based in Munich, Germany.
What the job involves
- Acting as a strategic finance partner and trusted sparring counterpart to the Group CEO, shareholders and advisory board
- Driving financial planning, budgeting, forecasting and liquidity management across the group
- Establishing KPI-driven steering and reporting structures across the clinic network
- Managing a lean holding structure together with a small finance team
- Driving transparency around cash flow, working capital and operational performance
- Supporting the execution of an ambitious buy-and-build strategy across Germany
- Building and maintaining detailed acquisition, roll-up and performance models in a highly hands-on environment
- Supporting due diligences, financing processes and acquisition negotiations
- Leading and coordinating post-merger integrations and operational transformation initiatives
- Building scalable finance structures, tools and processes to support the next growth phase
- Working closely with clinic leaders and operational management teams across multiple sites
- Coordinating with banks, auditors, advisors and other external stakeholders
- Operating in a highly entrepreneurial, fast-paced and performance-driven environment
- Regular travel across Southern and Central Germany
Who we are looking for
- University degree in finance, accounting, business administration, or a related field
- Several years of relevant professional experience, ideally gained within Transaction Services, restructuring advisory, strategy consulting or similar environments
- Prior exposure to healthcare service delivery environments is strongly preferred, as the ability to quickly navigate operational healthcare settings will be critical for success in the role
- Exposure to private equity-backed businesses and buy-and-build environments is highly relevant
- Strong experience with due diligence processes, financial analysis and performance steering
- Experience in multi-site and decentralized service environments is highly advantageous
- Strong understanding of cash flow management, working capital steering and liquidity planning
- Exposure to transformation, restructuring or high-growth situations under operational pressure
- Excellent analytical and financial modelling capabilities with a highly hands-on mindset
- Entrepreneurial, execution-oriented and comfortable operating in lean structures
- Strong communication, stakeholder- and relationship-management skills, with the ability to build trust and credibility in a highly people-driven environment and interact effectively with dentists, medical professionals and practice staff, while confidently challenging senior stakeholders where required
- Willingness to operate in a highly detailed and operational finance environment
- Munich-based or willingness to relocate to Munich required
- Fluent German and English required
