Overview
Our client is seeking a CPQ (Configure, Price, Quote) Product Configuration Specialist to build, maintain, and optimize product configuration models for complex manufactured products. This is a hands-on individual contributor role focused on product configuration, CPQ administration, and manufacturing systems alignment. Working closely with Engineering, Manufacturing, and Sales teams, you will help ensure products can be accurately configured, quoted, and manufactured at scale.
Responsibilities
- Build and maintain product configuration models within a CPQ environment
- Develop configuration rules, constraints, dependencies, and pricing logic
- Translate engineering drawings, specifications, and product requirements into structured CPQ models
- Support new product introductions, engineering changes, and product updates
- Ensure CPQ outputs align with ERP systems and Bill of Materials (BOM) structures
- Troubleshoot configuration-related issues impacting quoting and manufacturing
- Partner with Engineering, Manufacturing, and Sales Operations to improve configuration accuracy and quoting efficiency
- Maintain documentation related to configuration rules and product structures
Qualifications
- 3+ years of experience with CPQ systems or product configuration platforms
- Experience supporting configurable, customized, or engineered-to-order products within a manufacturing environment
- Ability to interpret engineering drawings, technical specifications, and product data
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills
- Exposure to ERP systems and Bill of Materials (BOM) structures is preferred
- Experience with Configura CET or similar CPQ/product configuration platforms is strongly preferred
