Business Operations Specialist Position
The Business Operations Specialist supports EctoHR's clients by serving as a trusted resource and problem solver to business owners and leadership teams. A typical day may include facilitating conversations around organizational structure, evaluating whether roles and responsibilities align with business needs, helping leaders improve accountability, identifying process gaps, supporting hiring and talent decisions, and recommending practical solutions to operational challenges.
This role requires someone who is naturally curious, business-minded, and comfortable asking thoughtful questions to uncover the root cause of an issue. The ideal candidate is equally comfortable facilitating a leadership discussion, conducting research, analyzing a situation from multiple perspectives, and helping clients develop actionable next steps.
Under the direction of the Leadership Team, the Business Operations Specialist has the opportunity to make an immediate impact on client organizations and play a meaningful role in helping businesses grow, mature, and scale successfully.
Experience, Skills and Abilities for the Business Operations Specialist Position
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Management, Operations, Finance, Communications, or a related field is preferred
- At least three years of experience in a business operations, project management, leadership support, consulting, organizational effectiveness, or similar role
- Strong business acumen with the ability to understand how people, processes, and structure impact organizational performance
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the confidence to engage directly with business owners and leadership teams
- A bias toward action and a willingness to roll up your sleeves to help clients solve real-world business challenges
