About the Role
We are looking for a dynamic and result-oriented Chief Financial Officer (CFO) who is a qualified Institute of Chartered Accountants of India Chartered Accountant (CA) to lead the organizations financial strategy, governance, and operational excellence. The CFO will play a critical leadership role in driving financial performance, business growth, investor confidence, and long-term value creation.
The ideal candidate should possess strong expertise in financial planning, taxation, compliance, fundraising, treasury management, business finance, and strategic decision-making with proven leadership experience.
Key Responsibilities
Strategic Financial Leadership
- Develop and execute the company's financial strategy aligned with business objectives and growth plans
- Act as a strategic partner to the CEO and leadership team in key business decisions
- Drive long-term financial planning, budgeting, forecasting, and business expansion initiatives
- Provide financial insights to support profitability, scalability, and operational efficiency
Financial Planning & Business Performance
- Lead annual budgets, financial models, forecasts, and MIS reporting processes
- Monitor business performance through KPIs, variance analysis, and profitability metrics
- Identify opportunities for cost optimization, revenue enhancement, and process improvement
- Support strategic initiatives including expansion, acquisitions, and investments
Accounting, Audit & Compliance
- Oversee accounting operations, financial reporting, taxation, statutory compliance, and internal controls
- Ensure compliance with applicable accounting standards, corporate laws, tax regulations, and audit requirements
- Manage statutory audits, internal audits, tax assessments, and regulatory reporting
- Liaise with auditors, financial institutions, legal advisors, and government authorities
Treasury, Fundraising & Investor Relations
- Manage treasury operations, cash flow planning, working capital, and liquidity management
- Lead fundraising activities, banking relationships, debt management, and capital structuring
- Support investor relations, board reporting, and financial presentations
- Evaluate investment opportunities and financial risks
Leadership & Governance
- Lead and mentor Finance, Accounts, Taxation, and Audit teams
- Establish strong governance frameworks and internal financial controls
- Drive automation, ERP implementation, and finance transformation initiatives
- Foster a culture of accountability, compliance, and performance excellence
Qualifications & Experience
Qualified CA (Chartered Accountant) Mandatory
15-25 years of progressive experience in Finance & Accounts leadership roles
Prior experience as CFO / Head Finance / Finance Controller preferred
Strong knowledge of Ind AS, IFRS, Taxation, Audit, FP&A, Treasury, and Corporate Finance.
Candidate from Education Industry will be preferred.
