As we scale rapidly, we are looking for a dynamic Chief Financial Officer (CFO) to join the leadership team and play a critical role in shaping the Company’s financial strategy, capital structure, and growth journey.
Role Overview
The CFO will serve as a strategic partner to the Founder and Board, responsible for leading all aspects of finance, fundraising, investor relations, treasury, compliance, and financial operations. This role requires a leader who can seamlessly transition between boardroom discussions with investors and lenders and the day-to-day execution of finance operations.
Key Responsibilities
Capital Raising & Investor Relations
Debt Financing
- Develop and execute MedsCred’s debt capital strategy.
- Build and manage relationships with banks, NBFCs, financial institutions, family offices, and alternative credit funds.
- Structure innovative healthcare financing products and lending facilities.
- Negotiate lending agreements, borrowing terms, security structures, and financing covenants.
- Manage treasury and optimize cost of capital.
Equity Fundraising
- Lead fundraising activities across Seed, Pre-Series A, Series A, and growth rounds.
- Manage investor outreach, financial due diligence, and transaction execution.
- Develop and maintain investor materials including financial models, investor presentations, and data rooms.
- Support valuation discussions, term sheet negotiations, and transaction closing processes.
- Build relationships with venture capital funds, private equity firms, strategic investors, and family offices.
Investor Relations
- Serve as the primary financial interface with existing and prospective investors.
- Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual investor reporting packs.
- Present company performance, key metrics, and strategic initiatives to investors and board members.
- Ensure transparency and proactive communication with stakeholders.
Strategic Finance & Corporate Development
- Drive financial strategy aligned with the Company’s long-term vision.
- Lead budgeting, forecasting, and annual operating planning processes.
- Evaluate expansion opportunities, strategic partnerships, acquisitions, and new business initiatives.
- Develop financial models to support decision-making and growth strategies.
- Monitor key business metrics, profitability, and unit economics.
Finance Operations & Governance
- Oversee accounting, financial reporting, taxation, audit, and compliance functions.
- Establish robust financial controls and governance frameworks.
- Ensure compliance with all regulatory, statutory, and lender requirements.
- Manage working capital, liquidity planning, and cash flow optimization.
- Implement scalable finance systems, MIS, and reporting infrastructure.
Team Leadership
- Build and lead a high-performing finance and accounts team.
- Establish a culture of accountability, accuracy, and financial discipline.
- Collaborate closely with operations, technology, product, risk, and business teams.
Ideal Candidate
Qualifications
- Chartered Accountant (CA), MBA (Finance), CFA, or equivalent qualification.
- 7-12 years of progressive experience in corporate finance, fundraising, investment banking, NBFCs, fintech, healthcare financing, or PE/VC-backed companies.
Experience
- Demonstrated track record of raising debt capital and managing lender relationships.
- Experience in equity fundraising and investor engagement.
- Strong financial modeling, valuation, and capital markets expertise.
- Experience working with founders, boards, investors, and financial institutions.
- Familiarity with healthcare, lending, fintech, or insurance ecosystems is highly desirable.
