Overview
Job Summary:
We are looking for a highly skilled Zuora CPQ Technical Lead to drive design and implementation of quote-to-cash solutions within Telecom/Satcom BSS/OSS ecosystems. The role will focus on complex product catalog, pricing, and quoting processes, enabling scalable subscription and usage-based billing models integrated with downstream billing and OSS systems.
Responsibilities
Key Responsibilities:
Zuora CPQ & Product Catalog
- Lead end-to-end design and implementation of Zuora CPQ (Salesforce CPQ / Zuora Quotes)
- Build and manage complex product catalogs, rate plans, pricing models, and bundles
- Configure:
- Subscription offerings (recurring, usage-based, hybrid)
- Discounting models, promotions, and pricing rules
- Amendments (upgrades, downgrades, renewals)
- Optimize quote-to-order lifecycle
Telecom / Satcom Domain Alignment
- Translate telecom requirements into CPQ solutions:
- Bundled offerings (voice, data, satellite capacity, IoT services)
- Tiered pricing, usage-based pricing, volume discounts
- Multi-service subscription models
- Handle enterprise/wholesale scenarios:
- Contract-based pricing
- Long-term agreements and SLAs
- Align CPQ flows with prepaid/postpaid business models
BSS/OSS Integration
- Integrate CPQ with:
- CRM (Salesforce / Amdocs / Siebel)
- Billing (Zuora Billing)
- OSS/provisioning systems
- ERP (SAP / Oracle)
- Design API-based and event-driven integrations
- Ensure seamless handoff from quote → order → billing → provisioning
Customization & Development
- Extend CPQ capabilities using:
- Apex, Visualforce / Lightning (for Salesforce-based CPQ)
- Zuora APIs and custom logic
- Implement validation rules, workflows, and automation
- Work with middleware tools (MuleSoft, Boomi, etc.) for orchestration
Technical Leadership
- Lead a team of developers/consultants for CPQ implementations
- Define architecture and ensure best practices in CPQ design
- Conduct solution design reviews and code reviews
- Collaborate with product owners, architects, and business teams
Performance & Optimization
- Optimize CPQ performance for:
- High-volume quoting scenarios
- Complex product configurations
- Improve usability and reduce quote generation time
- Ensure scalability for telecom-grade workloads
Testing & Deployment
- Lead SIT/UAT, regression testing, and deployments
- Ensure data consistency between CPQ and billing systems
- Support release cycles and CI/CD pipelines
Requirements
Required Skills & Qualifications:
Core Technical Skills
- Strong experience in Zuora CPQ / Zuora Quotes (mandatory)
- Hands-on experience with:
- Salesforce CPQ (preferred in integrated environments)
- Zuora Billing integration
- Strong knowledge of:
- Product catalog modeling
- Pricing and discounting logic
- Subscription lifecycle (create/amend/renew/cancel)
Integration & Development
- Experience with:
- REST/SOAP APIs
- Middleware (MuleSoft, Dell Boomi, Informatica)
- Programming knowledge:
- Experience with data modeling and transformation
Domain Expertise
- 8-10 years in Telecom / Satcom BSS/OSS
- Strong understanding of:
- Telecom / Satcom product structures and bundling
- Usage-based pricing and charging
- Order management and provisioning flows
Leadership & Soft Skills
- Proven experience leading teams (5-10 members)
- Strong communication and stakeholder management
- Ability to translate complex business requirements into scalable CPQ solutions
Preferred Qualifications:
- Zuora CPQ / Zuora Billing certifications
- Salesforce certifications (Sales Cloud / CPQ Specialist)
- Experience in cloud environments (AWS/Azure)
- Exposure to microservices architecture
