Responsibilities
Octave is seeking to hire an Executive Director, Deal Desk. The selected candidate will lead Octave’s global deal management and governance function, enabling the sales organization to execute complex deals efficiently while ensuring alignment with pricing contractual and strategic objectives. This role is central to accelerating revenue growth, mitigating risk, and ensuring consistency across our global sales operation. The Executive Director, Deal Desk will act as a trusted partner to Sales, Finance, Legal, and Product teams, providing insight, guidance, and operational rigor to complex deal structures and negotiations.
Responsibilities Include
- Deal Governance & Strategy: Establish global processes and governance for deal structuring, approvals, and discounting to ensure adherence to pricing policies, contractual compliance, and business objectives.
- Sales Enablement: Act as a consultative resource to sales leadership and account teams, enabling faster, smarter, and more profitable deal execution
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner closely with Finance, Legal, Product, and Sales Operations to review, approve, and optimize complex deals and agreements
- Pricing & Contracting Excellence: Drive consistency in pricing strategies, discounting practices, and contract terms, ensuring alignment with Hexagon’s commercial objectives
- Process Optimization: Continuously improve deal desk workflows, systems, and tools to accelerate deal turnaround, reduce errors, and provide data-driven insights for decision making
- Data & Analytics: Monitor trends, identify risk and revenue leakage, and provide leadership with actionable insights to support strategic revenue planning
- Team Leadership: Lead a high-performing deal desk team, building a culture of operational rigor, responsiveness, and commercial acumen
Qualifications
Education / Qualifications
- 10+ years of experience in Revenue Operations, Deal Desk, or related roles within a complex, global technology or SaaS organization.
- Deep understanding of complex deal structures, pricing models, contracts, and sales operations processes.
- Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively across Sales, Finance, Legal, and Product teams.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail and operational rigor.
- Experience leading and developing high-performing teams in a global, matrixed environment.
