Chief Financial Officer
We are a fast-growing franchisor with a national footprint and aggressive expansion plans. We are looking for a hands-on, strategic Chief Financial Officer who can help lead the company through its next stage of growth.
This is not a “sit behind the desk and report numbers” role. We need a CFO who can build financial discipline, create visibility across the business, protect cash, improve reporting, and help leadership make better decisions faster.
The right person will be comfortable operating in a high-growth, entrepreneurial environment where things move quickly, priorities evolve, and the finance function must be both strategic and practical.
Key Responsibilities
The CFO will oversee the financial health, reporting, planning, and operational finance functions of the company. Responsibilities include:
- Lead budgeting, forecasting, cash flow management, and financial planning.
- Build and maintain accurate financial reporting for leadership, ownership, and key stakeholders.
- Develop dashboards and KPIs that give clear visibility into company performance.
- Manage accounting processes, month-end close, AR/AP, payroll oversight, and financial controls.
- Partner with leadership on growth planning, unit economics, pricing, margins, and capital allocation.
- Improve financial systems, processes, and reporting cadence.
- Support franchise-related financial reporting, royalties, billing, collections, and compliance.
- Help evaluate new markets, growth opportunities, vendor agreements, and strategic initiatives.
- Work closely with outside CPA, legal, banking, and advisory partners.
- Identify financial risks early and bring solutions before they become problems.
- Create accountability around budgets, spending, and financial performance across the organization.
What We’re Looking For
We are looking for someone who is sharp, detail-oriented, direct, and willing to roll up their sleeves.
The ideal candidate has:
- CFO, VP Finance, Controller, or senior finance leadership experience.
- Experience in a franchise, multi-unit, licensing, SaaS, service-based, or fast-growth business preferred.
- Strong understanding of cash flow, forecasting, financial controls, and operational reporting.
- Ability to simplify complex financial information for non-financial leaders.
- Experience building finance processes in a growing company.
- Strong Excel, reporting, accounting software, and financial systems skills.
- Comfort working directly with founders, executives, and ownership.
- A practical mindset: strategic when needed, tactical when required.
- High integrity, strong judgment, and a “no surprises” communication style.
Who Will Succeed Here
You will succeed in this role if you like building, improving, and creating order out of complexity. We need someone who can bring structure without slowing the company down.
This role is a strong fit for someone who:
- Wants to be close to the decisions, not just report on them.
- Can challenge assumptions respectfully and directly.
- Understands that fast-growing companies require urgency and flexibility.
- Takes ownership instead of waiting for perfect direction.
- Can balance financial discipline with entrepreneurial growth.
- Is comfortable being held accountable for results.
Compensation
Compensation will be competitive and based on experience. The package may include salary, performance incentives, and potential long-term upside depending on the candidate and structure.
