Role Description The Chief Financial Officer (CFO) is a full-time, on-site role based in the Lafayette, Louisiana Metropolitan Area. This role oversees all financial operations, including budgeting, cash flow management, financial planning, and financial reporting to support strategic decision-making. The CFO prepares and reviews financial statements, ensures compliance with applicable regulations, and maintains internal controls and governance standards. Day-to-day responsibilities include analyzing financial performance, advising leadership on risk and growth opportunities, managing relationships with banks, auditors, and external advisors, and leading the finance team to improve processes, systems, and reporting accuracy. The CFO also collaborates closely with operations and project management to align financial goals with construction project timelines and business objectives.
Qualifications
- Strong foundation in Finance, with demonstrated experience in corporate or construction industry finance functions.
- Proficiency in Financial Planning and budgeting, including forecasting, cash flow management, and long-term strategic planning.
- Ability to prepare, interpret, and oversee Financial Statements and Financial Reporting in accordance with relevant standards.
- Advanced Analytical Skills to evaluate financial performance, assess risk, and support data-driven decision-making.
- Experience leading finance teams, developing internal controls, and implementing financial systems or process improvements.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to present complex financial information to non-financial stakeholders.
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business, or a related field; CPA, CMA, or MBA is preferred.
- Background in construction, real estate development, or related industries is highly beneficial.
