Role Description The Chief Financial Officer (CFO) is a full-time, hybrid role based in Dharamshala, with a combination of on-site presence and some work-from-home flexibility. The CFO will oversee all financial operations, including budgeting, financial planning, cash flow management, and the preparation and review of financial statements and reports. Day-to-day responsibilities include leading the finance team, ensuring compliance with regulatory and tax requirements, managing risk, and optimizing capital structure to support sustainable growth and international expansion. The role involves partnering with senior leadership on strategic decisions, evaluating business performance, supporting pricing and profitability analysis for travel and MICE operations, and driving process improvements and financial controls. The CFO will also liaise with external auditors, banks, and key stakeholders to maintain transparency and financial integrity.
Qualifications
- Strong foundation in Finance with demonstrated experience in corporate financial management and strategy.
- Proficiency in Financial Planning and budgeting, including forecasting, cash flow analysis, and long-term financial modeling.
- Expertise in Financial Statements and Financial Reporting, including consolidation, compliance, and stakeholder-ready presentations.
- Advanced Analytical Skills with the ability to interpret complex data, assess risk, and support data-driven decision-making.
- Relevant academic background such as a bachelor’s or master’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or Business; professional certifications (e.g., CA, CPA, CFA, CMA) are an advantage.
- Proven leadership experience in a senior finance role, preferably within travel, hospitality, or services industries, and familiarity with multinational or regional operations.
- Strong knowledge of financial regulations, tax frameworks, internal controls, and best practices in corporate governance.
- Excellent communication, stakeholder management, and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively in a diverse, cross-border team environment.
