Introduction
Thyseed is a premium baby-feeding brand focused on helping parents through stressful feeding moments with high-quality, trusted baby bottles and feeding products.
As we build our US business from the ground up, we are looking for a hands-on Business Operations & Channel Development Manager to support our local operations and help expand Thyseed into new offline sales channels. This role will support the day-to-day operation and growth of Thyseed’s US business.
You will coordinate essential HR, finance, and logistics activities while also helping develop offline sales channels, retail partnerships, local marketing programs, and brand activations.
This is a cross-functional role for someone who is organized, commercially minded, comfortable working with external partners, and able to move between operational details and business development.
Fluent Mandarin Chinese speaking and writing ability is necessary.
Key Responsibilities
HR and Team Operations
- Coordinate US recruitment, interviews, onboarding, and employee documentation.
- Work with payroll, benefits, PEO, insurance, and other HR service providers.
- Maintain employee records, policies, leave tracking, and required documentation.
- Support team planning, performance review processes, and day-to-day employee needs.
- Coordinate with external HR or legal specialists on compliance matters when needed.
Finance and Administration
- Track US budgets, expenses, invoices, and vendor payments.
- Coordinate with accountants, payroll providers, banks, and the China finance team.
- Prepare monthly spending reports and identify budget risks or unusual costs.
- Support purchase approvals, contracts, insurance, and vendor administration.
- Maintain accurate operational and financial records.
Logistics and Fulfillment
- Coordinate with warehouses, 3PLs, freight providers, and the China supply chain team.
- Monitor inventory levels, inbound shipments, stockout risks, and delivery issues.
- Track fulfillment, returns, replacements, damaged products, and warehouse performance.
- Support logistics cost reviews and service-level improvements.
- Help establish clear operating procedures for inventory, fulfillment, and returns.
Sales Channel Development
- Identify and approach suitable offline sales channels, including baby boutiques, specialty retailers, healthcare professionals, lactation centers, hospitals, and regional distributors.
- Build relationships with buyers, retail partners, and local business organizations.
- Prepare sales materials, product samples, wholesale proposals, and partnership presentations.
- Coordinate product listings, pricing, order terms, and retail launch requirements.
- Track leads, meetings, samples, sales opportunities, and channel performance.
- Support retail and wholesale partners after launch.
Local Marketing and Activations
- Help develop local marketing programs that support offline sales and brand awareness.
- Coordinate product demonstrations, retail promotions, sampling programs, trade shows, and community activations.
- Work with the PR/KOL and content teams to support local campaigns and partner marketing.
- Develop co-marketing opportunities with retailers, healthcare professionals, parenting organizations, and complementary brands.
- Collect feedback from partners and customers to improve products, messaging, and sales materials.
Qualifications
- 8+ years of experience in business operations, sales operations, retail development, or a related field.
- Experience coordinating vendors, payroll, finance, HR, logistics, or administrative processes.
- Strong interest in business development, offline retail, and local marketing.
- Comfortable contacting potential partners and developing new business relationships.
- Strong organizational, communication, and project-management skills.
- Able to work independently and manage multiple priorities.
- Fluent Mandarin Chinese speaking and writing is required.
