As a Controller/Chief Financial Officer you will:
- Join a bank known for their collaborative culture, local leadership and impressive ROA
- Serve as a key member of the executive leadership team, helping shape the bank's financial strategy, operational performance, and long-term growth
- Support strategic initiatives including acquisitions, branch expansion, technology investments, and new product development, providing financial guidance throughout the decision-making process
- Lead the financial direction of the institution, overseeing accounting, financial reporting, budgeting, asset/liability management support, and overall fiscal performance
Requirements of this Controller/Chief Financial Officer role:
- Must currently reside in or relocate to Oklahoma City, as this is not a remote role
- Serve as the Bank's senior credit executive, overseeing credit risk management, underwriting, loan approvals, and ensuring compliance with Board-approved risk appetite, Loan Policy, and regulatory expectations
- Establish and administer loan approval authorities, review complex credit relationships, structure credit facilities, and approve credit memorandums for Board Loan Review Committee consideration
- Monitor overall loan portfolio quality, including risk ratings, concentrations, criticized assets, watch list credits, emerging risks, and workout strategies; identify and report adverse trends
- Lead the Credit Department, overseeing credit approval processes, portfolio monitoring, exception tracking, and the development of credit analysts and credit administration staff
- Maintain and update the Bank's Loan Policy, underwriting standards, credit guidelines, and portfolio risk tolerances while promoting a strong credit culture and consistent policy implementation
- Oversee the Bank's CECL program, including allowance methodology, governance, model validation, data integrity, and regulatory compliance
- Serve as the primary liaison for loan reviews, regulatory examinations, audits, and third-party reviews, coordinating examiner communications, responses, and reporting to executive leadership and the Board
- Ensure compliance with all applicable banking laws, regulations, and internal policies, proactively identifying underwriting, documentation, and credit administration deficiencies while performing other related duties as assigned
