Job Details:
We are currently seeking a dynamic and experienced Chief Financial Officer (CFO) to lead our financial operations. The CFO will play a critical role in the overall financial management of the company, including its financial planning, budget management, cost-benefit analysis, forecasting needs, and securing of new funding. This is an exciting opportunity to join a fast-growing tech services company, where you will be instrumental in driving financial strategy and business growth.
Responsibilities:
1. Oversee all company accounting practices, including accounting departments, preparing budgets, financial reports, tax and audit functions.
2. Direct financial strategy, planning and forecasts; conferring with President, COO and Board of Directors.
3. Study, analyze and report on trends, opportunities for expansion and projection of future company growth.
4. Develop and implement finance, accounting, billing, and auditing procedures.
5. Establish and maintain appropriate internal control safeguards.
6. Interact with other managers to provide consultative support to planning initiatives through financial and management information analyses, reports, and recommendations.
7. Ensure records systems are maintained in accordance with generally accepted auditing standards.
8. Develop and direct the implementation of strategic business and/or operational plans, projects, programs, and systems.
9. Assist in obtaining the necessary licenses and insurance required to start a business.
10. Analyze cash flow, cost controls, and expenses to guide business leaders. Analyze financial statements to pinpoint potential weak areas.
11. Oversee financial management of foreign operations to include developing financial and budget policies and procedures.
12. Manage risks and insurance for the company including monitoring and managing cash flow.
13. Oversee Accounts Receivable, Accounts Payable, General Ledger functions, and manage month end, quarter end, and year end closing activities.
14. Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local legal requirements by researching existing and new legislation, consulting with outside advisors, and filing financial reports. Advise management of actions and potential risks.
Qualifications:
1. Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or related field required. A Master’s degree in Business Administration is preferred.
2. Certified Public Accountant (CPA) designation is required.
3. Minimum of 5 years of experience in a senior-level finance or accounting position.
4. Knowledge of finance, accounting, budgeting, and cost control principles including Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).
5. Knowledge of automated financial and accounting reporting systems, specifically ERP systems.
6. Knowledge of federal and state financial regulations.
7. Ability to analyze financial data and prepare financial reports, statements, and projections.
8. Working knowledge of short and long term budgeting and forecasting, rolling budgets, and product-line profitability analysis.
9. Professional written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills.
10. Ability to motivate teams to produce quality materials within tight timeframes and simultaneously manage several projects.
11. Ability to participate in and facilitate group meetings.
12. Willingness to work a flexible schedule.
13. Experience in Risk Management and Audit.
