Ricci Law Firm is a growing personal injury firm representing injured people against insurance companies and large corporations. With approximately 200 employees across multiple North Carolina locations, we've built a firm known for aggressive advocacy and results for our clients. As we continue to scale, we're hiring a Chief Financial Officer to build and lead the finance function.
This is a rare opportunity to shape financial strategy and infrastructure at a firm with real momentum, reporting directly to the President/Owner.
What you'll own:
- Build out financial planning, forecasting, and reporting processes that currently don't exist in a formal capacity
- Own cash flow management, including the unique dynamics of case-cost financing and settlement timing in a contingency-fee practice
- Develop budgeting processes across departments and office locations
- Oversee trust accounting compliance and ensure airtight separation of firm and client funds
- Partner directly with firm leadership on growth strategy, profitability analysis, and major financial decisions
- Establish KPIs and dashboards that give leadership real visibility into firm performance
- Manage banking relationships, lines of credit, and case-cost funding arrangements
- Lead a finance team
- Ensure compliance with all financial regulations relevant to law firm operations in North Carolina
What you bring:
- 10+ years of progressive finance leadership experience, including CFO or Controller-level roles
- Law firm, professional services, or regulated industry finance experience is a plus, not a requirement
- Deep comfort with cash flow modeling in a business where revenue timing is unpredictable
- CPA and/or MBA preferred but not required if experience speaks for itself
- Proven ability to communicate financial concepts clearly leadership
