We are seeking a SAP CPQ Architect to support digital transformation blueprint efforts for a leading semiconductor company. This role will shape the future-state quoting and configuration architecture across sales and services organizations.
Key Responsibilities :
- Solution Architecture : Define target-state CPQ architecture that integrates with SAP S/4HANA, Siemens Team Center PLM, and Microsoft Dynamics CRM.
- Configuration Modeling : Design guided selling flows to replace tribal-knowledge-dependent variant configuration targeting 7580% reduction in manual effort.
- Integration Design : Architect the CPQ-to-PLM integration pathway, potentially through an intermediate S/4 layer given Team Centers current limitations with complex models.
- Multi-Channel Quoting : Support architecture for both commercial quotes (multi-million dollar configured systems) and transactional quotes (spares, non-configurable upgrades, service products).
- Blueprint Contribution : Deliver L4L6 future-state process designs and system requirements for CPQ-related workflows.
- Vendor Evaluation Support : Inform platform selection criteria and RFP development for CPQ tooling.
Required Experience :
- 5+ years architecting or implementing SAP CPQ (or comparable enterprise CPQ : Salesforce CPQ, Oracle CPQ, Conga).
- Deep understanding of detailed configuration concepts (SAP VC/AVC migration paths).
- Hands-on experience with PLM-to-CPQ integration (BOM synchronization, engineering change propagation).
- Familiarity with SAP S/4HANA order management and sales processes.
- Experience in high-mix, low-volume manufacturing environments (semiconductor, aerospace, or industrial equipment preferred).
Preferred Qualifications :
- Prior work with Siemens Team Center or similar PLM platforms.
- Experience designing non-standard request workflows within CPQ.
- Understanding of pricing governance models (regional harmonization, contract-based pricing, proration).
- Exposure to Microsoft Dynamics 365 CRM integration patterns.
- Background in semiconductor capital equipment or similar complex configured products.
