The Role
CulinaryFleet is seeking an experienced, qualified Chief Financial Officer to lead our financial strategy, fundraising efforts, and long term fiscal planning. This role begins as a fractional engagement of 15 to 20 hours per week to match our current pre revenue stage. Upon successful completion of our active capital raise, the role converts to a full time position with a compensation package to match.
What You Will Do
- Own financial strategy, planning, and forecasting across a multi year horizon
- Lead fundraising strategy and execution, including identifying and engaging prospective investors, building investor relationships, preparing financial narratives and materials, managing diligence processes, supporting valuation discussions, and driving the company toward successful financing outcomes
- Develop and maintain relationships with current and prospective investors, serving as a key financial representative of CulinaryFleet during fundraising activities
- Manage and maintain the company's capitalization table and equity structuring
- Oversee unit economics modeling, including provider scaling mechanics, commission structure, GMV, and take rate
- Build and maintain financial reporting, budgeting, and internal controls
- Manage cash flow, burn rate, and runway planning
- Serve as a key point of contact for the Board and prospective investors on financial matters
- Ensure compliance with Delaware C Corp requirements, tax obligations, and other regulatory matters
- Partner with the CEO and executive team on pricing, market expansion, and long range planning
What You Bring
- CPA and/or MBA preferred
- Prior CFO or senior finance leadership experience at an early stage or high growth startup
- Demonstrated experience supporting equity fundraising, including seed and Series A rounds
- Strong command of platform business unit economics, including commission based revenue models
- Experience with cap table management and equity administration tools
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills for investor facing work
- Comfortable operating in a lean, fast moving startup environment with limited initial resources
- Alignment with CulinaryFleet's mission and community oriented approach to the culinary industry
Engagement Structure
This role begins as a part time, fractional engagement of 15 to 20 hours per week during our current fundraising period. Compensation during this phase includes a sweat equity grant and a deferred cash component that accrues during the engagement and is paid out upon successful close of the funding round. Full compensation details will be discussed and finalized with the selected candidate. Upon successful completion of our current funding round, the role converts to a full time, senior executive position with a competitive salary and equity package commensurate with experience.
Pay: $60,000.00 per year
