Position Overview
We are looking for an experienced and strategic Chief Financial Officer (CFO) to lead the financial operations of our logistics organization. The ideal candidate will be responsible for driving financial strategy, ensuring regulatory compliance, optimizing cash flow, managing budgets, and supporting business growth through sound financial planning and analysis.
Key Responsibilities:-
Financial Strategy & Leadership:-
Develop and implement the company's financial strategy aligned with business objectives.
Provide strategic financial advice to the CEO and Board of Directors.
Lead long-term financial planning and support expansion initiatives.
Identify opportunities for cost optimization and operational efficiency.
Financial Planning & Analysis:-
Prepare annual budgets, forecasts, and financial models.
Analyze business performance, profitability, and operational costs.
Present monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports to management.
Monitor key financial KPIs and recommend corrective actions.
Accounting & Compliance:-
Oversee accounting operations, financial reporting, and statutory compliance.
Ensure compliance with GST, Income Tax, Companies Act, and other regulatory requirements.
Manage internal and external audits.
Develop and strengthen internal financial controls and governance.
Treasury & Cash Flow Management:-
Manage working capital, cash flow, and banking relationships.
Optimize capital structure and funding strategies.
Negotiate with banks and financial institutions for loans and credit facilities.
Monitor liquidity and investment planning.
Logistics Financial Management:-
Analyze transportation, warehousing, fleet, and distribution costs.
Monitor freight profitability and route-wise financial performance.
Improve cost efficiency across supply chain operations.
Support pricing strategies and contract profitability analysis.
Risk Management:-
Identify financial risks and implement mitigation strategies.
Ensure business continuity through robust financial planning.
Maintain adequate insurance and financial safeguards.
Team Leadership:-
Lead and mentor the finance and accounts team.
Establish financial policies and best practices.
Drive automation and ERP-based financial processes.
Required Qualifications:-
CA (Chartered Accountant) preferred; MBA (Finance) is an added advantage.
8yrs to 10 years of experience in Finance & Accounts, with at least 5 years in a senior leadership/CFO role.
Prior experience in Logistics, Transportation, Supply Chain, Warehousing, or Manufacturing is highly preferred.
Required Skills:-
Strong knowledge of financial planning, budgeting, forecasting, and MIS reporting.
Expertise in GST, Income Tax, Corporate Finance, and Statutory Compliance.
Experience with ERP systems such as SAP, Oracle, Microsoft Dynamics, or similar.
Strong analytical, strategic planning, and business partnering skills.
Excellent leadership, stakeholder management, and communication abilities.
Proven experience in fundraising, banking, treasury management, and financial risk management.
