We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented individual to support the daily administrative and financial operations of our growing civil dirt contracting business. This multi-faceted role is critical to keeping our office running smoothly, ensuring compliance with employment laws, maintaining accurate billing and payables, and supporting our field teams. The ideal candidate thrives in a fast-paced construction environment, able to juggle multiple responsibilities, and has a strong understanding of construction accounting practices.
Key Responsibilities:
- Financial Strategy and Planning: Develop and implement long-term financial strategies aligned with company goals, including revenue growth, cost management, and capital allocation.
- Financial Operations: Oversee accounting, finance, and sometimes IT or HR departments, ensuring accurate financial reporting, compliance, and internal controls.
- Cash Flow and Asset Management: Monitor cash flow, manage assets, and optimize capital structure, including debt, equity, and internal financing.
- Budgeting and Forecasting: Prepare annual budgets, financial forecasts, and management reports to guide business decisions.
- Risk Management: Identify financial risks, implement mitigation strategies, and oversee internal audits and compliance.
- Mergers, Acquisitions, and Investments: Evaluate potential mergers, acquisitions, and strategic investments, conducting financial due diligence and assessing risks.
- Investor and Stakeholder Relations: Present financial information to the CEO, and advise on strategic decisions.
- AI and Technology Integration: Leverage AI-powered financial planning, automated variance analysis, and LLM-assisted reporting to enhance decision-making and efficiency.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
- Education: Master’s degree in accounting, finance, or business administration; CPA or CMA preferred.
- Experience: 10+ years of progressively responsible experience in finance, including leadership roles.
- Leadership and Strategic Thinking: Ability to lead finance teams, influence executive decisions, and align financial strategy with business objectives.
- Analytical Skills: Strong capability to interpret complex financial data and provide actionable insights.
- Technology Fluency: Familiarity with AI-driven financial tools, FP&A platforms, and automated reporting systems.
- Communication: Excellent written and oral communication skills for interacting with executives, boards, and external partners.
