Company Description
Stine, LLC traces its roots to 1952, when founder J.W. Stine and partner J.C. Carlin established Starlin Lumber Company in Sulphur, Louisiana, to support residential building contractors. Over time, Stine evolved from a contractor yard into a leading home improvement center, serving both homeowners and professional builders. Retail sales now represent about two-thirds of the company’s revenue, with builder sales making up the remainder. Stine is ranked among the Top-100 building materials dealers in the United States. The company’s long-standing partnership with Ace Hardware is highly successful, placing Stine fourth in sales among approximately 6,000 Ace retailers worldwide.
