Role Description The Chief Financial Officer (CFO) is a full-time, on-site leadership role based at KL University in Vijayawada. The CFO will oversee the university’s overall financial strategy, including budgeting, forecasting, and long-term financial planning to support institutional growth and sustainability. Day-to-day responsibilities include managing financial operations, reviewing and approving financial statements, ensuring timely and accurate financial reporting, and maintaining compliance with regulatory and statutory requirements. The CFO will collaborate with senior leadership on resource allocation, capital projects, and risk management, while implementing effective internal controls and optimizing financial processes. This role also involves leading the finance team, developing policies for cost efficiency and revenue enhancement, and providing clear financial insights to inform strategic decision-making.
Qualifications
- Strong expertise in Finance and Financial Planning, with the ability to develop and execute long-term financial strategies for a large educational institution.
- Demonstrated proficiency in preparing, analyzing, and interpreting Financial Statements and Financial Reporting in line with applicable standards and regulations.
- Advanced Analytical Skills to assess financial performance, manage risks, and provide data-driven recommendations to senior leadership.
- Proven experience in financial leadership roles, preferably as a CFO or senior finance executive in education, non-profit, or large organizational settings.
- Professional qualifications such as CA, CPA, CMA, MBA in Finance, or a related advanced degree.
- Strong knowledge of regulatory frameworks, taxation, audit requirements, and compliance relevant to universities and charitable trusts.
- Ability to lead and develop finance teams, manage stakeholders, and communicate complex financial information clearly to non-financial audiences.
- High standards of integrity, accountability, and ethical conduct, with a track record of transparent financial governance.
