Job Description: The Chief Financial Officer (CFO) is responsible for the overall financial leadership of Ellingson Companies. This role oversees financial planning and analysis, accounting, treasury, risk management, and compliance while partnering closely with the CEO and executive team to drive sustainable growth and operational excellence. The CFO plays a critical role in ensuring financial strength, disciplined decision-making, and long-term value creation.
Worksite Location: West Concord, MN – On-site opportunity with periodic travel (10–20%) to regional offices.
Salary Range: $220,000- $240,000 base salary plus bonus and profit sharing.

Roles & Responsibilities
Develop and execute the organization's long-term financial strategy while advising the CEO and executive team on capital allocation and business planning.
Lead budgeting, forecasting, long-range planning, financial reporting, KPI development, and performance analysis.
Oversee accounting operations, GAAP financial reporting, internal controls, audit readiness, tax strategy, and regulatory compliance.
Manage cash flow, liquidity planning, banking relationships, financing activities, bonding capacity, insurance, and enterprise risk management.
Partner with operations and fleet leadership to improve profitability, pricing strategy, contract review, and margin performance.
Build, mentor, and develop a high-performing finance and accounting team while strengthening financial systems, reporting, and processes.
Support board reporting, governance activities, and continuous process improvement initiatives.
Required Skills & Experience
15+ years of progressive financial leadership experience, including senior-level responsibility.
Experience leading finance within construction, infrastructure, or a related industry.
Strong knowledge of GAAP, financial reporting, internal controls, and compliance.
Proven ability to lead teams, drive organizational performance, and manage change.
Exceptional analytical, communication, and executive leadership skills.
CPA preferred.
Experience With Multi-entity Or Multi-state Operations Preferred.
Experience in private equity, ESOP, or family-owned business environments preferred.
Master's degree in Finance, Accounting, or Business Administration preferred.
