Job Overview
We are seeking a highly strategic and experienced Chief Financial Officer (CFO) to lead the financial operations of our organization. The CFO will oversee all aspects of financial management, including accounting, reporting, risk analysis, and strategic planning. Duties
- Develop and implement comprehensive financial strategies aligned with organizational goals to drive growth and profitability.
- Oversee corporate accounting functions, ensuring compliance with GAAP (Generally Accepted Accounting Principles), IFRS (International Financial Reporting Standards), IAS (International Accounting Standards), and industry-specific regulations.
- Manage financial reporting processes, including the preparation of accurate financial statements, reports, and interpretations for senior leadership and external stakeholders.
- Lead risk management initiatives by conducting thorough risk analysis and establishing effective controls to mitigate potential financial threats.
- Direct treasury management activities such as cash flow forecasting, banking relationships, investment strategies, and liquidity optimization.
- Oversee budgeting processes, cost control measures, expense management, and financial projection model development to support strategic decision-making.
- Supervise finance team members in areas such as payroll management, cost accounting, governmental accounting, and supply chain finance.
- Lead complex mergers & acquisitions (M&A) activities by evaluating potential opportunities, conducting due diligence, and negotiating terms to facilitate business expansion.
- Ensure compliance with regulatory reporting requirements including SOX (Sarbanes-Oxley Act), ASC 606 (Revenue Recognition), COSO (Committee of Sponsoring Organizations), and other relevant standards.
- Collaborate with executive leadership on corporate strategy development, business development initiatives, fundraising efforts for organizational growth, and market analysis.
- Foster a culture of continuous improvement by implementing advanced accounting systems and financial software solutions to enhance operational efficiency.
Qualifications
- Proven experience in senior finance leadership roles such as Finance Director or CFO within diverse industries; experience in non-profit accounting is a plus.
- Extensive knowledge of financial concepts including profit & loss management, revenue cycle management, cost control, and fiscal management.
- Demonstrated expertise in financial analysis, forecasting analysis, strategic planning, and developing financial models.
- Strong understanding of industry-specific regulations such as GAAP, IFRS, IAS standards; familiarity with ASC 606 is desirable.
- Proficiency with accounting systems and financial software platforms; experience with SAP, Oracle Financials or similar enterprise systems preferred.
- Excellent leadership skills with a track record of managing high-performing finance teams across multiple functions.
- Exceptional negotiation skills coupled with the ability to interpret complex financial reports for diverse audiences.
- Strong analytical skills with attention to detail in risk assessment and compliance monitoring.
- Ability to adapt quickly to changing regulatory environments while maintaining operational integrity.
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or related field; advanced degrees or professional certifications such as CPA or CFA are highly advantageous.
