Responsibilities
The Sales Operations Specialist is responsible for driving and implementing an efficient management system for his/her business segment within Lenovo, supporting the Markets sales cadence, optimizing demand supply, quota setting, operational planning and driving process improvement. The Sales Ops Specialist will report to regional Operations Leader and will have interlock with the Markets business, Market Sales Operations as well as Supply Chain and Finance. The position requires:
- Business Management System: Drive a solid BMS system used by the Markets and consolidate to a weekly BMS supporting the business segment lead
- Cadence / Forecast support to identify gaps, opportunities and validate forecast based assumptions (i.e. AURs, Attach rates etc.) and make recommendations to market sales on actions to be taken
- Ensuring all teams have a common daily view of business status and gaps and efficiencies are identified in a timely manner and managed appropriately.
- Provide assessments of orders against tracks and quarter ship by BU linking into the weekly BMS and provides support for execution of related actions (i.e. last time buys) and integrates the bridge information provided by the sales leads
- Support optimization of shipment tracks by managing order prioritization and counterpart for supply chain and customer fulfilment in regards to their SLA performance, critical actions and optimization initiatives
- Actively supports quarterly planning interlock (interlock with Market Sales, Sales Ops, Finance and BUs) and supports the business segment in the resulting target setting process andensuring quota setting process is executed in a timely manner and appropriately and providing necessary interface to the corresponding central functions (ie. Incentive Commissions)
- Support and drives process improvement and deploys business related initiatives within the segment, initiates specific sales enablement initiatives if required
- Interlock with GSC and supply planning on transition LTB all the large bid planning
Position Requirements
- Minimum Bachelor, preferred Master Degree in Business Administration, Computer Science or equivalent
- Experience in Corporate Finance, Sales Operations or Global Supply Chain. Preferable is also experience in IT Sales on end-user or channel business
- Excellent interpersonal and communications skills
- Entrepreneurship and with a high degree of self-motivation and drive
- Able to develop strong relationships with various stakeholders and ability to work with them
- Ability to break down complex tasks into manageable tasks and drive for results
- Able to work independently and meet requirements, maintains ownership, offers potential solutions, drives work to completion within specified timelines
- Capacity to engage and challenge peers and management when required to manage the business operations
- Participate in performance reviews associated with the business segment’s environment
- Proficiency in Excel, and other office applications
- Strong analytical skills and detail oriented
- Language skills: Fluent English and Fluent German is required
- Work under pressure
This position can be located in Essen or Stuttgart.
