Job Profile Description
The Services, Chief Revenue Officer (CRO) plays a strategic role in supporting delivery of the business goals and strategic ambitions – to be a great employer, to delight our customers and to be a growing, profitable and responsible company.
The Chief Revenue Officer (CRO) will be responsible for driving revenue growth and profitability for the company. The CRO will lead the development and execution of the Services business revenue strategy, working closely with the Services Directors and other members of the executive team.
As an Leader in Kainos you will have an established track record in defining and implementing the sales strategy and processes for revenue growth across a Services Business.
The core responsibilities of the Services Chief Revenue Officer are to develop the the sales strategy, practice management and growth of revenue. Contributing to the Services business achieving high customer satisfaction rates and building annual revenue to over £250+ million by FY2025.
You will lead the Services sales, ensuring the development and management of our people are in alignment to the Kainos practices, culture and values.
MAIN PURPOSE OF THE ROLE & RESPONSIBILITIES IN THE BUSINESS:
Your Responsibilities Will Be
- Sets the strategic direction and vision for revenue growth (£250m by FY2025) in the Services business delivering a strategy in agreement with the C-Suite and regularly reviewing against measurable objectives
- Effectively communicates the Services sales and growth strategy with Staff, Board and Shareholders
- Investigates, understands and reacts to customer needs and the dynamics of each of the markets within which the various Sectors and Regions operate; similarly understands economic and technology trends and implications for each of the Regions, growing our customer base from 750 to 1500 within 3 years
- To establish strong executive relationships at the senior-most levels in customer organisations leading to a demonstrable track record of increasing sales and partnership value creation. Influencing, building rapport, and gaining credibility with both business and technology executives at leading Services customers. Providing contextual knowledge of the Services markets.
- Lead and manage pricing and all sales activities for Services solutions, defining the appropriate go-to-market strategy and executing against a plan to increase revenues and grow market share. This will include building an effective sales process, execution strategy, sales organisation and partner ecosystem around a “hybrid model” that includes standard products, custom software development and services.
- A thought leader, in terms of revenue-generating ideas and solutions, as well as effective planning and forecasting of sales results with a consistent record of achieving/exceeding plans.
- Supports the development of and adherence to Group People strategies to engage, develop, retain and attract the top talent in the market
- Ensures adherence to Kainos company culture, modelling behaviours that exemplify the company values
- Creates an environment that enables Services development teams to contribute and deliver the Services business strategy
Minimum (essential) Requirements
- Extensive experience and a proven track record in leading strategic direction and vision for revenue growth in complex, global markets
- Selling complex enterprise software and services to customers across our sectors and regions
- Experience of strong customer relationship management
- Experience of creatively identifying opportunities for growth
- Fostering strong and appropriate relationships with senior stakeholders
- Highly knowledgeable of the following areas: People, Culture & Talent Development,
- Finance; planning and evaluation
- Acting as a leader internally and externally, displaying a professional, credible and positive image and attitude for Kainos
