JD&Co. are partnered with a rapidly growing B2B DaaS data led insights & consulting business who have award-winning expertise in their industry. PE backed and financially buoyant with an ambitious global expansion strategy, they are looking to hire a world class Chief Revenue Officer to work closely with their impressive CEO to drive the growth of their SaaS (Software as a Service) / DaaS (Data as a Service) subscription revenues.
This role is customer centric and highly commercial: you will lead and deliver against ambitious acquisition and retention targets to significantly increase revenue and cement this company’s position as a brand of choice. With 3 sales divisions covering the EMEA, Americas and APAC, this role will lead and drive high performing sales teams in each geography covering all relevant vertical markets with a focus on robust Go To Market strategies and competitive product pricing.
This role needs energy, personality and gravitas, you will lead from the front and by example and effectively manage and champion a high performing sales function. The ideal candidate will have growth experience in online platform orgs (Software as a Service / Data as a Service) servicing the financial services / investment management space (specifically asset managers, hedge funds, alternative funds). You will develop and deliver a compelling business growth strategy and overall you will ensure that new paths to revenue are exploited, optimal sales and retention performance targets are met, and that a rigorous data and process led mindset is instilled in the team.
About the Role
- Work closely with the CEO to develop and execute the short and long term strategic business development and revenue plans to significantly increase market share.
- Lead, motivate and manage a global team to include:New Business Development, Account Management & Partnerships across EMEA, Americas and Asia. With the CEO, you will also oversee the Marketing function and activity.
- Focus on New Business Development alongside building on key accounts within Industry and the Investment Management space.
- Measure, manage and report on client feedback and work with the team to ensure client service excellence is delivered consistently
- Work cross functionally with product development and client services teams to grow business and product portfolio
- Alongside the Global Head of Marketing, develop the marketing strategy and across all areas of the sales territories with a focus on CX, ROI and clear and consistent sales messaging.
- Review and propose emerging digital platforms to enhance business opportunity
- Develop, measure and manage a comprehensive suite of sales KPIs and report to the CEO. Prepare regular reports of progress and forecasts to internal and external stakeholders using agreed metrics
- Own, measure and evaluate sales data for accurate forecasting, performance management and reporting
About You:
- Ideally, 5-10+ years selling SaaS solutions into financial services / investment management (ideally data-led insights tools) with a proven track record of driving sustained revenue growth.
- Ability to thrive and excel in a growth and high change environment, can hit the ground running and bring others with you.
- Strong growth mindset, by nature ambitious and results oriented, and always looking to innovate and unearth new business opportunities.
- Able to demonstrate to exceptional credibility in the market in your specialist area.
- Proven track record in leading successful sales teams, across multiple geographies and cultures. Ideally, EMEA, Americas and APAC.
- Exemplary organisational and negotiation skills
- A natural people leader, you love managing teams and have exemplary communication skills both written and verbal to ensure knowledge sharing and overall good communication throughout the team
- Exceptional knowledge of effective sales processes and knowledge of Salesforce.com, you are data driven, think analytically and are strong in defining processes.
- Experience with accurate and clear data led reporting methods to provide efficient forecasting to the business and Board.
