About the Role:
The mc² Operations Specialist is responsible for the day-to-day operations, planning, and continuous improvement of the mc² showcase facility and labs. This role ensures that spaces, technology, and processes enable high-quality collaboration, innovation, and customer engagement. The ideal candidate is highly organized, proactive, and comfortable working with stakeholders at all levels of the organization.

Responsibilities:

Manage overall mc² showcase facility operations, including planning, scheduling, space utilization, and coordination.

Manage A/V and collaboration technologies, providing support for meetings, demos, events, and VIP visits, and overseeing technology upgrades/obsolescence.

Train staff on facility operations, A/V technology, and processes.

Develop, document, and improve operational processes and procedures; conduct research to support facility and equipment investments.

Coordinate with IT and Engineering and understand their needs to support the continued operation, maintenance and improvement of facilities, labs, and equipment.

Track IT assets and technology, managing obsolescence and upgrades.

Support events/demos with VIP visits in a tech-heavy showcase facility environment.

Design and execute large-scale engineering events and innovation summits, coordinating stakeholders, content, and logistics to achieve clear technical and business outcomes.

Oversee maintenance, repairs, upgrades, and technology-related facility needs in partnership with Facilities, IT, and Engineering teams.

Manage facility and lab access, ensuring compliance with company, security, and regulatory requirements.

Initiate and coordinate Supply Chain Management processes to support facility and engineering needs (equipment, materials, services).

Plan and design mc² spaces and storage solutions to ensure safe, functional, flexible environments aligned with user and workforce needs.

Build strong relationships and communication across all staff levels; managing administrative tasks, conflict resolution, and problem-solving.

Lead outreach and partnership activities and perform other assigned duties to support mc² operations and organizational objectives.
Position Requirements:

Bachelor’s degree in Business, Operations, Project, or Facilities Management, or a similar field is preferred; equivalent relevant experience can be considered in lieu of a degree.

7 - 10+ years of experience in facility, lab, or technical operations, including customer/VIP-facing responsibilities.

Demonstrated experience managing A/V and collaboration technologies in a fast-paced, tech-heavy environment.

Strong communication, stakeholder management, and conflict resolution skills; comfortable interacting with senior leaders and external visitors.

Proven problem-solving and prioritization skills and the ability to find solutions with limited information.

Proven success in cross-functional coordination with IT, Engineering, Facilities, and Supply Chain.

Willingness to perform both strategic and hands-on administrative tasks as needed.

Experience in reviewing and interpreting contract language preferred.
