Sales Operations Manager – Revenue Operations
Hybrid: Two days per week in London, Camberley, Gloucester or Sheffield, depending on candidate location
Four-day option: Monday to Thursday – £50,000 base salary + 10% bonus
Five-day option: £60,000 base salary + 10% bonus
Essential requirement: Hands-on Salesforce experience
We have been exclusively appointed by an established UK cyber security specialist to recruit an experienced Sales Operations Manager.
Reporting directly to the Commercial Director, you will help evolve an existing sales operations capability into a broader, integrated revenue operations function.
This is a highly visible role with genuine ownership across forecasting, revenue delivery, Salesforce, sales technology, commercial processes and board-level reporting. Working closely with Sales, Marketing, Finance and Customer Success, you will create a single, trusted view of pipeline health and revenue performance.
The opportunity:
This is not simply a CRM administration or reporting position. You will have the autonomy to improve how the business forecasts, qualifies, progresses and delivers revenue, making a measurable contribution to its next stage of growth.
We are ideally looking for candidates who have worked in B2B technology, SaaS, managed services, professional services or cybersecurity businesses.
Key responsibilities will include:
- Owning the quarterly sales forecasting process and driving accuracy towards a target variance of 10%
- Tracking forecast revenue through to delivery and revenue recognition
- Taking ownership of Salesforce, including data integrity, dashboards, reporting, workflows, automation and user adoption
- Managing and improving the wider sales technology stack
- Acting as the internal owner of Gong (or equivalent conversation intelligence platform), including configuration, adoption, integrations and coaching insights
- Producing clear reporting on pipeline health, sales performance and revenue growth for senior leadership and the board
- Establishing a consistent cadence of forecast calls, pipeline reviews and performance reporting
- Improving deal stages, qualification criteria and sales methodology, including MEDDPICC
- Managing the company’s RFP, bid and proposal-content repository
- Supporting commission calculations, quota setting and territory planning
- Acting as a deal-desk contact for pricing, discounting and non-standard commercial opportunities
- Aligning Sales, Marketing, Finance and Customer Success around shared revenue metrics, handovers and renewals
About you:
Hands-on Salesforce experience, along with knowledge of a conversation intelligence platform like Gong, is mandatory. You must have used Salesforce within a sales or revenue operations environment and be confident managing its data, reporting, processes, workflows and adoption.
You will also need:
- Proven experience in sales operations, revenue operations or commercial operations, ideally at management level
- A strong track record of building and maintaining accurate sales forecasts
- Experience managing sales cycles from pipeline through to delivered revenue
- Strong analytical and reporting skills using Excel, Power BI and Salesforce reporting
- The ability to turn commercial data into clear insights for senior stakeholders
- An understanding of bids, proposals, pricing and commercial deal structures
- Excellent cross-functional communication and stakeholder-management skills
- A proactive, highly organised approach with strong ownership of data integrity
Experience within B2B technology, SaaS, managed services, professional services or cyber security would be particularly valuable. Exposure to Gong, MEDDPICC, board reporting, compensation-plan administration or systems-improvement projects would also be advantageous.
If you are an experienced Sales or Revenue Operations professional with strong, hands-on Salesforce expertise and want the autonomy to shape a developing function, we would be keen to hear from you.
