A privately held, growth-oriented organization is seeking a strategic and hands-on Chief Financial Officer (CFO) to join its executive leadership team. This individual will play a critical role in guiding financial strategy, capital planning, risk management, and operational performance across multiple business entities. Key Responsibilities
Financial Leadership & Strategy
- Serve as a key advisor to ownership and executive leadership on financial strategy and business performance.
- Lead budgeting, forecasting, financial modeling, and long-term planning initiatives.
- Provide actionable financial insights to support key business decisions and future growth opportunities.
- Develop and monitor key performance indicators and operational metrics.
Banking, Capital & Treasury Management
- Manage banking and lending relationships.
- Lead financing activities, capital structuring efforts, and lender negotiations.
- Oversee treasury functions, cash management, liquidity planning, and capital deployment.
- Monitor compliance with financing agreements and reporting requirements.
Financial Reporting & Accounting Oversight
- Oversee financial reporting, accounting operations, and balance sheet management.
- Partner with external accountants, auditors, and tax advisors.
- Ensure accurate financial records and strong internal controls.
- Support complex entity structures, investments, and ownership arrangements.
Risk Management & Compliance
- Oversee insurance programs, corporate compliance, and risk mitigation initiatives.
- Manage corporate governance documentation and regulatory requirements.
- Partner with legal counsel regarding contracts, agreements, and business obligations.
- Develop and implement policies and procedures that support organizational growth and compliance.
Leadership & Team Development
- Lead, mentor, and develop accounting and finance personnel.
- Foster a high-performance, collaborative culture within the finance function.
- Participate actively in executive planning and cross-functional leadership discussions.
- Help build scalable processes and infrastructure to support future growth.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
- CPA, MBA, or advanced financial certification preferred.
- 10+ years of progressive financial leadership experience.
- Demonstrated success managing complex financial operations and multiple business entities.
- Strong experience in cash flow management, banking relationships, capital planning, and financial forecasting.
- Exceptional analytical, communication, and leadership skills.
- Proven ability to operate both strategically and tactically in a fast-paced environment.
- Experience supporting privately held, entrepreneurial, or growth-focused organizations is highly desirable.
