Role Description: The Private Practice Chief Financial Officer (CFO) will oversee all financial operations for a private practice, ensuring sound fiscal management and supporting strategic decision-making.
This full-time, on-site role is based in Covina, CA, and involves leading budgeting and forecasting processes, managing financial reporting, and maintaining accurate and timely financial statements.
The CFO will monitor cash flow, revenue cycles, and expense controls, and collaborate with practice leadership on pricing, contracts, and growth initiatives.
Daily responsibilities include analyzing financial performance, identifying risks and opportunities, ensuring compliance with relevant regulations, coordinating with external advisors (such as accountants or auditors), and implementing financial policies and internal controls.
The CFO will also mentor administrative staff in financial best practices and contribute to the practice's overall operational efficiency.
Qualifications
- Strong finance and financial planning skills, including experience with budgeting, forecasting, and cash flow management.
- Proficiency in preparing and interpreting financial statements and financial reporting for leadership and external stakeholders.
- Demonstrated analytical skills, with the ability to evaluate financial data, identify trends, and support informed business decisions.
- Experience in private practice, healthcare, or professional services environments, with knowledge of revenue cycle and regulatory considerations.
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or a related field; advanced degree or CPA/CFA designation is advantageous.
- Proven leadership and communication skills, including the ability to collaborate with clinicians, administrators, and external partners.
- High level of integrity, attention to detail, and commitment to maintaining confidentiality and ethical financial practices.
