Job Summary
A growing and established transportation and logistics company in Chattanooga, TN is seeking an experienced Chief Financial Officer to lead financial operations and serve as a trusted partner to ownership and senior leadership. This direct hire CFO opportunity is ideal for a hands-on financial executive who can balance strategic guidance with close involvement in day-to-day accounting, reporting, cash flow, and operational financial decisions.
This role offers the opportunity to make a meaningful impact on profitability, financial controls, operational efficiency, and long-term growth. The CFO will work in a leadership-driven environment with direct access to decision-makers, strong visibility across the business, and the ability to influence key financial and operational strategies.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee accounting, financial reporting, budgeting, forecasting, cash flow, and internal financial controls.
- Prepare, review, and analyze monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements for ownership and leadership.
- Manage accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, banking, general ledger, cash flow, and working capital.
- Monitor revenue, expenses, margins, profitability, and financial performance to identify improvement opportunities.
- Coordinate tax preparation, audits, insurance, banking relationships, and outside accounting partnerships.
- Support financial decisions related to fleet operations, equipment purchases, financing, growth planning, and regulatory compliance.
Compensation And Benefits
- Salary range: $140,000 to $160,000 per year.
