Job Title: Sales Operations Specialist
Position Overview
The Sales function drives business growth by representing and promoting Surgical Science’s medical training simulation and software solutions to healthcare and industry partners worldwide. As a customer-driven, client-facing function, it builds and maintains relationships, identifies customer needs, and leads commercial discussions. The function develops revenue through strategic engagement, both online and in-person, and collaborates closely with the global services team.
The Sales Operations Specialist supports the effectiveness of Surgical Science's commercial organization through sales process optimization, CRM administration, forecasting support, and reporting. Working closely with sales and cross-functional teams, this role helps maintain data accuracy, generate operational insights, and support process improvements that contribute to commercial performance. The position focuses on execution, analytics, and operational support to enable revenue growth.
Responsibilities
Sales Operations & Commercial Support
- Support sales operations and commercial processes throughout the sales lifecycle.
- Support pricing activities, contract administration, and commercial documentation.
- Support demo configuration activities in collaboration with the sales team.
- Support forecasting and revenue planning activities.
- Monitor and report commercial key performance indicators (KPIs).
CRM, Data & Reporting
- Maintain accurate and reliable commercial data within the CRM system.
- Support CRM administration, user adoption, and continuous improvements.
- Prepare regular sales, pipeline, forecasting, and KPI reports.
- Maintain dashboards and reporting tools that support commercial performance.
- Analyze commercial data to identify trends, risks, and opportunities.
- Provide reporting and analytical support to assist business decision-making.
Commercial Collaboration & Market Analysis
- Collaborate with Sales, Marketing, Finance, Customer Success, Customer Support, Products @ Clinical Support and other internal stakeholders to support commercial objectives.
- Conduct market research and competitive analysis.
- Gather and maintain market intelligence related to customer needs, industry trends, competitor activities, and market developments.
Process Improvement & Sales Enablement
- Document, maintain, and continuously improve commercial processes and workflows.
- Support the planning, design, and coordination of sales meetings
- Support the planning and logistical coordination of sales meetings, including venue selection, hotel arrangements, and meeting room bookings.
- Support the development and maintenance of sales playbooks, onboarding materials, and best practices.
- Contribute to initiatives that improve operational efficiency and sales effectiveness.

- Build and maintain customer relationships where required by the local organization.
Commercial Operations
- Manage detailed sales pipeline administration, capacity planning, and revenue modelling.
- Support commission calculations and quota planning.
- Provide detailed weekly updates and monthly or annual commercial forecasts.
CRM & Sales Technology
- Design and implement CRM workflows and process automations.
- Evaluate, administer, and optimize sales tools and commercial technology platforms.
- Support system integrations and improvements that increase efficiency and visibility.
Commercial Strategy
- Implement pricing strategies aligned with company objectives.
- Support contract structuring and commercial negotiations.
- Contribute to the development and execution of regional commercial strategies.
Continuous Improvement
- Identify areas of friction within the sales process and implement scalable operational improvements.

- Provide general administrative and office support depending on local business needs.
Required Skills And Capabilities
Knowledge and skills
- Good understanding of sales operations, commercial processes, and revenue-generating activities.

- Approximately 3 years of experience in sales operations, commercial operations, business analytics, or a related field.
- Experience working with CRM systems and sales reporting tools.
- Experience supporting forecasting, pipeline management, reporting, or commercial processes.
- Experience working in a cross-functional business environment.
- Experience within medical technology, healthcare, life sciences, or technology industries (nice to have)
