Factory Direct Lighting Ltd. | Markham, Ontario
Factory Direct Lighting Ltd. is a Canadian commercial lighting supplier serving electrical contractors, distributors, property managers, developers and other B2B customers across Canada. We are expanding rapidly and are looking for a hands-on E-Commerce & Revenue Operations role to help turn our website, customer data and digital marketing into measurable leads, quotations and sales.
This is not simply a marketing or website design role.
We are looking for someone who can own the digital sales infrastructure connecting:
website traffic → customer interest → lead → quotation → order → repeat sale
What You Will Own
E-Commerce & Website
- Take day-to-day ownership of our nopCommerce website environment.
- Manage product pages, categories, specifications, images, downloads and content.
- Improve navigation, search, landing pages, account registration, quote requests and conversion.
- Coordinate and manage external developers for changes requiring coding or deeper technical expertise.
- Continuously improve the customer experience based on data rather than aesthetics alone.
SEO & Analytics
- Manage Google Analytics 4, Google Tag Manager and Google Search Console.
- Improve technical and on-page SEO.
- Monitor indexing, metadata, structured data, internal linking, site searches and page performance.
- Identify products and categories customers are searching for and turn those insights into commercial opportunities.
Revenue Operations
- Help implement and manage FDL's CRM/lead-management process.
- Ensure digital inquiries and leads are assigned, followed up and tracked.
- Build dashboards showing:
- leads by source;
- quotations and quote value;
- quote-to-order conversion;
- sales by channel/campaign;
- customer activity;
- e-commerce performance; and
- unresolved opportunities.
- Work with Sales and Customer Service to improve lead follow-up and conversion.
Digital Sales Growth
- Work with Marketing to measure the effectiveness of LinkedIn, Facebook, Instagram and email campaigns.
- Build campaign landing pages and conversion paths.
- Help develop FDL's Project Direct online sales model for larger commercial orders.
- Identify opportunities to increase repeat purchases, reactivate customers and improve online sales.
- Test automation and AI tools where they can measurably improve sales productivity.
What We Are Looking For
You should have hands-on experience in several of the following:
- B2B or B2C e-commerce management;
- nopCommerce strongly preferred;
- other complex platforms such as Magento, Shopify, WooCommerce or comparable systems;
- GA4, Google Tag Manager and Search Console;
- technical and on-page SEO;
- CRM and lead-management systems;
- conversion-rate optimization;
- website analytics and dashboards;
- product/catalogue data management;
- email and digital campaign attribution;
- HTML/CSS fundamentals;
- APIs, integrations or marketing automation.
Experience with SQL, Power BI, Looker Studio, Python, AI/automation tools or Microsoft technologies is an asset.
About nopCommerce
Direct nopCommerce experience is strongly preferred.
If you have not previously worked with nopCommerce, you should have substantial hands-on experience administering another sophisticated e-commerce platform and be comfortable learning nopCommerce quickly and working with ASP.NET developers when technical changes are required.
We are not looking for a full-time software developer. We are looking for someone technically capable enough to own the platform, diagnose issues, make routine changes independently, and effectively manage developers when coding is required.
What Success Looks Like
Within your first 90 days, we expect you to help FDL:
- establish reliable digital and sales attribution;
- take ownership of nopCommerce administration;
- improve high-priority website conversion issues;
- connect website inquiries to a lead-management/CRM process;
- launch stronger project-quote and lead-capture workflows;
- establish an SEO improvement plan;
- provide weekly sales-conversion dashboards; and
- demonstrate measurable improvement in qualified leads, quotations and digital sales opportunities.
The Person We Want
You will probably enjoy this role if you are someone who sees a website and immediately asks:
“How is this generating revenue, what does the data tell us, and how can I improve it?”
We are looking for a builder who is curious, analytical, commercially minded and comfortable getting into the details—not someone who only coordinates other people.
Compensation: $45,000–$55,000 annually, based on experience, plus performance-based compensation.
