Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced and commercially oriented Group Chief Financial Officer (CFO) to lead the financial and strategic function across a diversified, multi-entity business group with operations in India and international markets.
The ideal candidate will act as a strategic business partner to the Group Directors, overseeing financial performance, capital allocation, governance, risk management, cross-border finance operations, and business growth initiatives. The role requires a strong combination of financial leadership, commercial acumen, strategic thinking, and entrepreneurial mindset.
Key Responsibilities
Strategic Finance & Business Leadership
- Partner with the Group Directors on strategic planning, business growth, and value-creation initiatives.
- Translate business strategy into financial plans, budgets, forecasts, and measurable outcomes.
- Provide financial insights and recommendations to support major business decisions.
- Evaluate new business opportunities, investments, expansion plans, and strategic initiatives.
- Drive profitability, cash generation, and capital efficiency across multiple businesses.
- Challenge assumptions and provide an independent financial perspective to senior leadership.
Group Financial Management
- Lead financial operations across multiple entities, business units, and geographies.
- Establish a unified financial reporting and performance-management framework.
- Oversee monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reporting.
- Monitor P&L, balance sheet, cash flows, working capital, and key financial KPIs.
- Drive budgeting, forecasting, variance analysis, and management reporting.
- Ensure accurate and timely consolidation of financial results.
Capital Allocation & Financial Planning
- Develop and implement effective capital allocation strategies.
- Evaluate CAPEX, investments, acquisitions, financing, and expansion proposals.
- Optimize working capital and liquidity across the group.
- Support fundraising, debt financing, and other strategic financial initiatives.
- Assess financial risks and returns associated with major business decisions.
Governance, Compliance & Risk Management
- Ensure strong financial governance, internal controls, and risk-management frameworks.
- Lead relationships with statutory auditors, internal auditors, tax advisors, investors, banks, and financial institutions.
- Ensure compliance with applicable accounting standards, tax regulations, Companies Act, SEBI requirements, and other statutory regulations.
- Strengthen financial controls across domestic and international operations.
- Identify financial and operational risks and implement appropriate mitigation strategies.
International & Cross-Border Finance
- Oversee financial coordination between Indian and international entities.
- Drive alignment of reporting, controls, processes, and financial practices across geographies.
- Manage cross-border financial reporting and compliance requirements.
- Support international business expansion, integration, and investment activities.
- Work effectively across different business cultures and regulatory environments.
M&A & Transformation
- Support M&A, business restructuring, integration, and strategic investment initiatives.
- Lead financial due diligence and evaluate potential acquisition opportunities.
- Develop financial models, valuation analysis, and investment cases.
- Drive post-merger financial integration and reporting.
- Lead finance transformation and process-improvement initiatives.
Finance Team & Organizational Leadership
- Build and lead a high-performing finance organization.
- Develop finance leaders and strengthen organizational capabilities.
- Establish clear KPIs, accountability frameworks, and performance standards.
- Drive adoption of technology, automation, analytics, and modern financial systems.
- Develop finance as a strategic business-partnering function rather than a transactional function.
Required Skills & Competencies
- Strong expertise in financial management, accounting, FP&A, corporate finance, and strategic finance.
- Proven experience managing finance across multiple entities and business units.
- Strong knowledge of financial reporting, governance, internal controls, taxation, and regulatory compliance.
- Experience in capital allocation, fundraising, banking, working capital, and cash-flow management.
- Strong understanding of M&A, financial due diligence, valuation, and business integration.
- Experience with international or cross-border business operations.
- Strong analytical, commercial, and strategic decision-making skills.
- Excellent stakeholder-management and communication skills.
- Strong understanding of ERP systems, financial technology, MIS, and data analytics.
- Ability to balance business growth with financial discipline and risk management.
- CA Mandatory.
- Candidate Experience in Listed & Manufacturing industry.
