Fully Onsite Position in Central Kentucky
Our client is seeking a strategic, hands-on Chief Financial Officer to serve as a key member of the executive leadership team. This role will provide financial leadership for a growing organization and will partner closely with the CEO and leadership team to drive profitability, operational excellence, and long-term growth.
The ideal candidate combines strong technical accounting and finance expertise with a commercial mindset and a passion for partnering with operations to improve business performance. This individual will lead all aspects of finance, accounting, budgeting, forecasting, treasury, banking relationships, reporting, and strategic planning while helping guide the company through its next phase of growth.
Key Responsibilities
- Partner with the CEO and executive leadership team to develop and execute strategic initiatives and long-term growth plans.
- Lead all accounting and finance functions, including financial reporting, budgeting, forecasting, cash flow management, treasury, tax, and internal controls.
- Provide timely and actionable financial reporting, KPIs, and business insights to support decision-making.
- Drive annual budgeting and forecasting processes while monitoring performance against organizational goals.
- Manage banking, lending, and other key external financial relationships.
- Oversee audit, tax, compliance, and risk management activities.
- Evaluate opportunities for operational improvements, process automation, and increased efficiency.
- Provide financial analysis related to capital investments, acquisitions, expansions, and strategic initiatives.
- Build, develop, and mentor a high-performing accounting and finance team.
- Serve as a trusted advisor to ownership and executive leadership.
- Ensure the company maintains strong financial controls and compliance with GAAP and regulatory requirements.
Desired Experience
- CFO, VP Finance, Finance Director, or Controller experience with increasing levels of responsibility.
- Experience supporting organizations ranging from approximately $50M to $500M in annual revenue.
- Strong background in financial planning and analysis, accounting, cash flow management, and strategic finance.
- Experience partnering closely with operations leaders to drive business performance.
- Proven success improving processes, implementing systems, and enhancing reporting capabilities.
- Experience managing banking relationships, debt facilities, and working capital.
- M&A, acquisition integration, private equity, or growth company experience is a plus.
- Demonstrated ability to lead and develop teams.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field required.
- CPA and/or MBA strongly preferred.
- Strong knowledge of GAAP, financial reporting, budgeting, and forecasting.
- Advanced analytical, leadership, communication, and business partnering skills.
