Your Impact
The Chief Financial Officer (CFO) is Ashley’s senior financial leader, strategic business partner, and principal financial advisor to the Co-CEOs and Board of Directors.
The CFO will lead the organization’s financial strategy and operations while partnering with the Executive Leadership Team to support growth, strengthen financial sustainability, manage risk, and ensure resources are aligned with Ashley’s mission and strategic priorities.
This is a hands-on executive role. The successful candidate will move comfortably between strategic discussions with the Board and Co-CEOs and the day-to-day realities of running a finance organization, and will be willing to personally engage in financial analysis, forecasting, cash management, problem solving, and process improvement when needed.
Key Responsibilities:
Strategic Financial Leadership
- Lead long-range financial strategy, annual budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning.
- Partner with the Co-CEOs and Executive Leadership Team on strategy, growth initiatives, investments, and resource allocation.
- Provide financial analysis, scenario planning, and recommendations to support major organizational decisions.
- Serve as a trusted financial advisor to the Finance Committee and Board.
Financial Management & Reporting
- Oversee accounting, financial reporting, treasury, cash management, budgeting, and financial operations.
- Ensure accurate and timely financial reporting, strong internal controls, and compliance with applicable requirements.
- Lead the annual audit, tax filings, and other financial and regulatory reporting.
- Maintain strong liquidity and financial discipline to support Ashley’s long-term sustainability.
- Stay close to the numbers and personally engage in financial analysis and problem solving when required.
Operational Finance
- Provide executive oversight of revenue cycle, reimbursement, billing, collections, and cash flow.
- Partner with operational and clinical leaders to improve financial performance and resource utilization.
- Use financial and operational data to support organization-wide decision making.
Leadership & Transformation
- Lead, develop, and work closely with the finance team.
- Strengthen financial systems, processes, reporting, and analytics.
- Identify opportunities to improve efficiency, automation, and financial visibility.
- Foster a culture of accountability, transparency, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
- Serve as an active member of the Executive Leadership Team and contribute to organization-wide strategy.
What You Bring
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business, or a related field; advanced degree preferred.
- 10+ years of progressive financial leadership experience, including senior finance or CFO-level responsibility.
- Experience in nonprofit healthcare, behavioral health, addiction treatment, or a related healthcare environment strongly preferred.
- Strong financial management, budgeting, forecasting, cash management, and analytical skills.
- Demonstrated ability to work effectively with CEOs, executive teams, and Boards.
- Strong leadership, communication, judgment, and problem-solving skills.
