About Our Client
Our client is a profitable, founder-led healthcare company helping patients improve their quality of life through innovative, non-surgical treatment options. The organization has established a strong reputation for patient satisfaction and is successfully expanding its multi-site presence.
The company operates on EOS and has developed a proven model for opening and growing new locations. As it prepares for its next stage of growth, our client is adding the financial leadership, organizational structure, and operational accountability needed to scale responsibly.
The Role
This is the Integrator seat in an EOS business, filled by a finance leader. You will serve as the founder’s only direct report and the clear second-in-command, with responsibility for aligning and holding accountable every function across the organization.
Your foundation is finance. You understand what the business earns and spends by location, hour, and service; how fixed and variable costs differ across the organization; which levers improve margin; and what must be true financially before the company enters its next market. You will build the models, own the budget, and represent the company with banks and other outside partners.
Healthcare revenue is complex. Reimbursement varies by payer, billed revenue does not always reflect what is ultimately collected, and strong financial leadership requires a clear understanding of revenue cycle performance. Our client needs someone who can make the numbers understandable, identify what they are saying, and turn those insights into action.
Just as importantly, you are an Integrator, not a back-office CFO. You will lead and hold accountable the entire leadership team through EOS by running L10 meetings, driving Rocks and to-dos, maintaining scorecards, and building a strong, accountable team.
One of your early priorities will be hiring a hands-on operations leader to manage the daily details across locations, including staffing, scheduling, inventory, and execution. You will lead that person through clear expectations, measurable results, and financial accountability. The structure is intentional: financial leadership and organizational integration in this seat, tactical execution beneath it, and appropriate checks and balances between the two.
What You’ll Own
Financial Leadership
- Full ownership of budgeting, forecasting, reporting, cash flow, and margin management across all locations.
- Clear visibility into unit economics, including cost and revenue by hour, location, and operational lever.
- Revenue cycle management as a core business discipline, including billing, collections, payer contracts, reimbursement trends, and performance reporting.
- Forward-looking financial modeling, including the cash required to enter a new market, the expected path to positive cash flow, and how quickly the company can responsibly grow.
- Financial relationships with banks, potential investors, and other outside partners.
- The company’s reporting systems and financial technology, with responsibility for improving the tools, processes, and dashboards leadership relies on.
Integration and Accountability
- Own the Integrator seat and the leadership team’s operating rhythm, including L10 meetings, Rocks, scorecards, issues, and to-dos.
- Hire, lead, and develop a tactical operations leader responsible for day-to-day execution across locations.
- Hold leaders accountable through clear metrics, including detailed financial and operational results.
- Create accountability across every function, including operations, sales, marketing, and patient acquisition, with clear ownership and measurable outcomes.
- Build the leadership structure, processes, and discipline needed to scale successfully.
Partnership With the Founder
- Operate as a true Visionary/Integrator partnership: the founder sets the direction and protects the culture; you turn the vision into consistent execution.
- Free the founder from day-to-day operational management so they can focus on the areas where they bring the greatest value.
- Give the founder a business they can understand at a glance, using numbers they trust and insights that lead to better decisions.
What We’re Looking For
- A strong finance foundation, likely developed as a CFO, VP of Finance, or high-performing controller ready to step into a broader leadership role. This is not an operations position for someone with financial exposure; deep financial capability is essential.
- Healthcare experience, ideally within a multi-site organization. You understand revenue cycle management, payer reimbursement, and the complexity of healthcare revenue reporting.
- Fluency in EOS, with a strong preference for someone who has worked inside an organization running on EOS. Experience in the Integrator seat is especially valuable.
- The leadership presence to drive accountability while also building, developing, and retaining a strong team.
- A builder’s track record, including financial models, dashboards, close processes, reporting systems, and operating disciplines you helped create or significantly improve.
- Comfort working hands-on in a lean, founder-led organization and maintaining visibility across multiple locations.
- An MBA, MHA, CPA, or related advanced credential is preferred but not required.
