About the Role
EaseMyTrip.com is looking for an accomplished and commercially driven Group Chief Financial Officer (Group CFO) to lead the overall finance function across the Group, including the listed parent company, subsidiaries, associate businesses and strategic investments.
The Group CFO will be a key member of the senior leadership team and will work closely with the CEO, Board of Directors, Audit Committee, investors, lenders and business heads. The role will be responsible for financial strategy, accounting and reporting, treasury, taxation, budgeting, capital allocation, investor relations, compliance, MIS and financial governance across the Group.
Beyond financial control, the Group CFO will act as a strategic business partner to the leadership team, supporting growth, profitability, acquisitions, fundraising, international expansion and long-term shareholder value creation.
Roles & Responsibilities
- Group Financial Strategy & Leadership: Lead the overall financial strategy of EaseMyTrip and its group companies, aligning financial priorities, capital allocation and resources with the Group's short-term and long-term business objectives.
- Financial Reporting, Accounting & Consolidation: Oversee accounting, consolidation and timely preparation of standalone and consolidated financial statements, management accounts and financial disclosures while ensuring accuracy, transparency and adherence to applicable accounting standards.
- Budgeting, Forecasting & MIS: Lead annual budgeting, rolling forecasts and long-term financial planning across business units. Establish strong MIS and dashboards to provide management with timely visibility into revenue, margins, profitability, cash flows and key performance indicators.
- Listed Company Governance & Regulatory Compliance: Ensure compliance with applicable requirements for a listed company, including SEBI regulations, stock exchange requirements, Companies Act provisions, accounting standards and financial disclosures. Work closely with the Board, Audit Committee, statutory auditors and other stakeholders.
- Treasury, Banking & Cash Flow Management: Manage Group liquidity, working capital, banking relationships, cash flows, investments, borrowing and treasury operations while proactively managing interest rate, currency, credit and other financial risks.
- Taxation, Audit & Internal Controls: Oversee direct and indirect taxation, GST, TDS and other statutory financial compliances. Coordinate statutory, internal and tax audits and establish robust financial controls, policies and processes across the Group.
- Investor Relations & Capital Markets: Partner with the CEO and leadership team in managing relationships with institutional investors, analysts, shareholders and other capital-market stakeholders. Support earnings communication, investor presentations, fundraising and other capital-market initiatives.
- Fundraising, M&A & Strategic Investments: Evaluate and execute debt and equity fundraising, acquisitions, strategic investments, joint ventures and other corporate transactions. Lead financial due diligence, valuation, transaction structuring and post-acquisition financial integration.
- Business Performance & Profitability Improvement: Partner with business leaders to improve financial performance through cost optimization, pricing, procurement efficiencies, working-capital management, productivity enhancement and disciplined return-on-investment analysis.
- Leadership, Transformation & Shareholder Value Creation: Build and lead a high-performing finance organization across the Group. Drive automation, process improvement and financial transformation while working with senior leadership to strengthen governance, improve profitability and deliver sustainable shareholder value.
Preferred Candidate Profile
- Professional Qualification: Chartered Accountant (CA) qualification is strongly preferred. Additional qualifications such as MBA Finance, CFA or equivalent credentials would be advantageous.
- Senior Finance Leadership Experience: Approximately 15–20+ years of progressive finance experience, including substantial experience in a CFO, Group CFO, Finance Director or equivalent senior leadership position.
- Listed Company Experience: Strong preference for candidates who have held senior finance responsibilities within a publicly listed company and have practical exposure to Boards, Audit Committees, SEBI requirements and stock exchange disclosures.
- Large & Diversified Business Exposure: Experience managing finance across multiple businesses, subsidiaries or geographies, with the ability to establish group-level financial governance while partnering effectively with individual business units.
- Strong Accounting & Compliance Foundation: Deep understanding of financial reporting, consolidation, Ind AS, taxation, audits, internal controls, corporate governance and regulatory compliance.
- Capital Markets & Investor Relations Exposure: Demonstrated experience interacting with institutional investors, analysts, lenders and other financial stakeholders. Exposure to equity/debt fundraising and capital-market transactions is highly desirable.
- M&A and Strategic Finance Experience: Experience evaluating acquisitions, investments and strategic opportunities, including valuation, due diligence, transaction structuring, financial modelling and post-transaction integration.
- Commercial & Business Acumen: A business-oriented finance leader who can move beyond reporting numbers to influence strategy, challenge assumptions, identify opportunities and support management in making commercially sound decisions.
- Technology & Data Orientation: Strong understanding of ERP systems, financial automation, MIS, analytics and technology-led finance transformation. Experience building scalable financial systems for rapidly growing organizations is preferred.
- Leadership & Stakeholder Management: Exceptional leadership, communication and stakeholder-management capabilities, with the maturity to work effectively with promoters, the Board, senior management, auditors, regulators, bankers, investors and cross-functional teams.
