NEIS Collective is a specialty interiors contractor of cabinet, casework, fume hoods and equipment dealership selling interior product solutions in the K-12, College/University, Laboratory and Healthcare market segments.
While our team is growing, it is due to a retirement that we have an immediate opening for a full-time Chief Financial Officer. This position will be based onsite in our Liverpool NY office.
Key Responsibilities
The Chief Financial Officer (CFO) serves as a strategic business partner to the President, Ownership, and Executive Leadership Team by providing financial leadership, business insight, and disciplined stewardship across the NEIS Collective alliance of companies. The CFO is responsible for financial strategy, reporting, forecasting, cash management, banking, tax compliance, internal controls, risk management, and financial systems. The position provides direct financial oversight for Artisan Millwork and executive-level financial oversight and partnership with CIF Lab Solutions while leading the Corporate Finance and Accounting functions.
What You Will Do
- Provide strategic financial leadership across the NEIS Collective alliance of companies.
- Develop long-range financial strategies aligned with organizational growth objectives.
- Lead budgeting, forecasting, capital planning, and financial modeling.
- Oversee preparation of financial statements, tax filings, audits, and GAAP compliance.
- Manage banking relationships, financing, treasury, cash flow, liquidity, and covenant compliance.
- Partner with Presidents, Ownership, Directors, and Divisional Managers to improve profitability and operational performance.
What You Bring
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance required; MBA or Master's preferred
- CPA preferred
- 10–15 years of progressive financial leadership experience, including senior finance leadership roles
- Experience within commercial construction, specialty contracting, manufacturing, or project-based businesses strongly preferred/required
- Professionalism to effectively interface with all levels of employees and stakeholders
- Experience with multi-company organizations and percentage-of-completion accounting required/strongly preferred
- Demonstrated experience with banking relationships, treasury, insurance, bonding, audits, and strategic planning
