Role Description The Business Operations & People Manager is a full-time, on-site role based in Udaipur, responsible for ensuring smooth day-to-day operations and a positive team environment. This role oversees business processes, coordinates cross-functional workflows, and implements operational best practices to improve efficiency and performance. The manager will handle people-related activities such as hiring coordination, onboarding, performance tracking, and employee engagement initiatives. They will create and update policies, manage internal communication, and support leadership with reporting, planning, and execution of strategic initiatives. The role also involves collaborating with product, marketing, and customer-facing teams to align operational priorities with business goals.
People Management & Organisational Culture
• Develop and maintain a healthy, professional and performance-oriented work culture.
• Build strong working relationships across teams and understand individual team dynamics.
• Identify interpersonal conflicts, behavioural concerns and employee-related issues and facilitate appropriate
resolution.
• Monitor employee engagement, motivation, performance and overall development.

Business Operations & Execution
• Oversee the day-to-day functioning of Non-Tech teams and ensure smooth execution of organisational priorities.

• Ensure clear ownership of important tasks and initiatives.
• Identify delays, bottlenecks, ownership gaps and execution issues.
• Establish effective follow-up and reporting mechanisms without creating unnecessary bureaucracy.
• Ensure critical operational activities are completed accurately and within defined timelines.
• Continuously evaluate existing processes and identify opportunities for improvement.
Leadership Coordination
• Act as an effective communication and execution bridge between the founders and the wider team.
• Understand leadership priorities and translate them into clear execution across relevant teams.
• Provide leadership with accurate information regarding team performance, operational challenges and ongoing priorities.
• Surface important issues proactively rather than waiting for them to escalate.
• Present problems with appropriate context, analysis and potential solutions.
• Ensure leadership decisions are understood and implemented effectively across teams.
Performance & Accountability
• Establish and maintain a strong culture of ownership and accountability.
• Monitor overall productivity and identify recurring performance concerns.
• Address issues related to delays, lack of ownership, low productivity or ineffective execution.
• Work with relevant team members to understand the root cause of performance issues.
• Ensure that managers and team members remain accountable for their respective responsibilities.
• Escalate significant or recurring issues to senior management with appropriate recommendations.
Problem Solving & Process Improvement
• Identify recurring operational, people and communication problems.
• Analyse root causes and implement practical solutions.
• Develop or improve internal processes and SOPs wherever required.
• Reduce unnecessary dependency on individual employees through better delegation and systems.
• Identify responsibilities that can be delegated and ensure appropriate ownership is established.
• Continuously look for ways to improve efficiency, communication and execution across the organisation.
Candidate Profile
• 2–5 years of experience in Business Operations, People Management, General Management, Management Consulting, Chief of Staff, or a similar role.
• Strong understanding of people and organisational dynamics.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving ability.
• High ownership and accountability.
• Ability to manage multiple functions and priorities simultaneously.
• Ability to handle difficult conversations professionally.
• Strong follow-up and execution capabilities.
