About FCT Assembly
FCT Assembly operates two divisions serving the electronics and precision manufacturing industries. FCT Solder supplies solder materials and process solutions for electronics manufacturing, with locations in the United States, Mexico, Malaysia, and Europe. A-Laser provides precision laser cutting and manufacturing services, with locations in the United States and Malaysia.
Position Summary
The Chief Financial Officer is a hands-on financial leader and business partner to the CEO. The CFO guides financial strategy, improves profitability and cash flow, and helps leadership make informed decisions about operations, investment, and growth.
This opportunity is suited to a finance manager, controller, FP&A leader, or similar professional ready for broader responsibility. Prior CFO experience is not required. The CFO leads planning and business performance while the Controller manages daily accounting, reporting, and controls. The CFO retains overall financial oversight.
Financial Strategy & Business Performance
· Partner with the CEO and operating leaders to establish financial priorities and support sustainable business growth.
· Lead budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning, connecting operating plans with profitability, cash needs, and investment decisions.
· Analyze performance by business, region, customer, and product or service; recommend improvements to pricing, costs, and margins.
· Translate financial results into clear reporting and practical recommendations for leadership and the board.
Cash Flow & Capital Management
· Manage cash forecasting, liquidity, and funding needs across the businesses.
· Work with sales, purchasing, and operations to improve collections, inventory investment, supplier terms, and working capital.
· Manage banking and financing relationships and monitor applicable lending requirements.
· Evaluate capital expenditures and growth opportunities through financial analysis, risk assessment, and return on investment.
Financial Oversight & Systems
· Partner with the Controller to maintain reliable financial reporting, effective internal controls, and consistent practices across entities.
· Coordinate with external accounting, tax, and other specialists on compliance, financial risk, and cross-border matters.
· Guide improvements to financial systems, ERP capabilities, and reporting tools that support sound decisions and business growth.
Leadership & Collaboration
· Develop the finance team, clarify responsibilities, and establish a culture of ownership, accuracy, and continuous improvement.
· Build strong relationships with operating leaders and develop an understanding of the companies’ customers, products, and manufacturing processes.
· Help leaders turn financial findings into action and follow through on agreed business priorities.
Qualifications
· Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field, or an equivalent combination of relevant education and experience.
· Progressive finance or accounting experience, typically gained over 5 or more years, with responsibility for financial planning, business analysis, or team leadership.
· Practical experience with budgets, forecasts, financial statements, cash flow, and working capital.
· Strong analytical and financial modeling skills, with the ability to explain findings clearly and recommend practical action.
· Demonstrated initiative, sound judgment, and the ability to manage competing priorities and collaborate with business leaders.
Preferred Experience
· Manufacturing or inventory-intensive businesses, including analysis of costs and margins.
· Multi-site or international operations, banking relationships, capital investment analysis, or ERP projects.
· CPA, CMA, or MBA credentials are a plus but are not required.
Candidates do not need to have held a CFO title or managed every area of a global finance function. Relevant accomplishments, strong financial fundamentals, and readiness for broader leadership will be considered.
Pay Range - 150k - 225k
