The CFO will lead financial strategy, treasury, fundraising, statutory compliance, and financial governance for ensuring the organisation has the capital, controls, and reporting discipline to scale its lending book responsibly.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead financial planning, budgeting, forecasting, and MIS reporting for the organisation
- Own treasury management, fundraising strategy (debt/equity), and lender/investor relationships
- Ensure compliance with RBI NBFC regulations, Companies Act, taxation, and other statutory requirements
- Oversee accounting, financial statements, and statutory, internal, and RBI audits
- Drive capital adequacy planning, ALM (Asset-Liability Management), and liquidity management
- Build scalable finance and accounting processes to support branch and product expansion
- Partner with the Board/Investors on fundraising rounds, due diligence, and reporting
- Own cost management, profitability, and unit economics across products and branches
- Lead, mentor, and strengthen the finance and accounts team and internal controls
- Contribute as a core member of the leadership team on overall business strategy
Requirements & Qualifications
- CA/CMA/MBA (Finance) mandatory
- 15+ years of progressive finance leadership experience, with strong exposure to NBFC/BFSI
- Deep understanding of RBI's NBFC regulatory framework, ALM, and capital adequacy norms
- Proven experience in fundraising (debt/equity) and lender/investor management
- Strong exposure to statutory, internal, and regulatory audits
