About the Role
Our client is seeking a hands-on Chief Financial Officer to partner directly with the President and help lead a growing portfolio of businesses operating across the U.S. and Canada.
This is a highly visible leadership role with responsibility for the organization's accounting, financial reporting, cash management, tax strategy, banking relationships, risk management, and financial operations. You'll oversee the financial health of multiple operating entities while providing strategic guidance, improving reporting visibility, and supporting the organization's continued growth.

What You'll Own
- Lead capital planning, cash management, forecasting, and financing initiatives that support sustained growth and strategic expansion.
- Oversee monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reporting across multiple operating companies, ensuring accuracy, visibility, and actionable insights for leadership.
- Drive financial due diligence, valuation analysis, and integration efforts for acquisitions while helping maximize post-transaction performance.
- Strengthen budgeting, forecasting, job cost accounting, and financial planning processes to improve business performance across the organization.
- Direct multi-state sales and use tax strategy, risk management programs, insurance relationships, and external accounting partners.
- Champion financial systems and ERP modernization initiatives that create scalable infrastructure for continued growth.
- Mentor and develop accounting and finance team members, fostering a high-performance culture focused on accountability, continuous improvement, and operational partnership.
What We'd Like
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; CPA and/or MBA preferred.
- Proven success leading finance and accounting functions within multi-entity organizations, preferably in commercial services, distribution, equipment, industrial, construction, or project-based environments.
- Deep expertise in job cost accounting, GAAP compliance, cash flow management, financial planning, and complex multi-state tax structures.
- Experience partnering with executive leadership to support growth initiatives, operational improvements, and acquisition-focused strategies.
- Demonstrated ability to improve financial processes, reporting visibility, and internal controls.
- Strong leadership presence with the ability to balance strategic vision and hands-on execution.
