About the Opportunity
Our client is looking to engage a highly experienced Fractional CFO / Group CFO to provide senior-level financial leadership, strategic guidance and corporate finance expertise.
The mandate is suited for a seasoned finance leader who has worked with very large organisations, has prior international / cross-border business experience, and has significant exposure to IPO and public-market transactions.
This is a consulting leadership opportunity, where the expert will work closely with the client's promoters / leadership team on strategic financial matters without taking on a conventional full-time CFO position.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide CFO-level strategic financial leadership to the client.
- Advise the promoters and leadership team on financial strategy, capital allocation and business planning.
- Review and strengthen finance systems, controls, governance and reporting structures.
- Provide guidance on FP&A, budgeting, forecasting, treasury and cash-flow management.
- Support corporate finance, fundraising, M&A and strategic investment decisions.
- Work with the leadership team on financial performance and profitability improvement.
- Guide the organisation on IPO readiness and public-market requirements, where relevant.
- Support interactions with investment bankers, auditors, legal advisors, investors and financial institutions.
- Provide Board-level perspectives on financial risks, opportunities and strategic decisions.
- Mentor and guide the existing finance leadership team.
Mandatory Profile
- 25+ years of professional experience.
- Prior experience as CFO, Group CFO, Finance Director or equivalent senior finance leader.
- Strong track record working with very large companies / corporate groups.
- Mandatory: Significant prior IPO / public-market experience.
- Experience participating in or leading an IPO journey, including IPO readiness, financial due diligence, regulatory requirements, advisors and listing-related processes.
- Prior international / multinational / cross-border business experience is required.
- Experience working with Boards, promoters, institutional investors and senior stakeholders.
- Strong understanding of corporate finance, governance, treasury, financial strategy and risk management.
- M&A, fundraising and capital-market experience will be an advantage.
