The
SMB Sales Operations Analyst plays a critical role in supporting the day-to-day execution of North America SMB Sales Operations. This position is responsible for maintaining account and customer data integrity, managing account hierarchy and territory alignment activities, supporting quota and planning processes, and driving operational excellence through data stewardship and process execution.
The analyst serves as a trusted partner to Sales Operations leadership by owning high-volume operational activities, conducting account research and validation, supporting business planning initiatives, and ensuring the accuracy of the data and processes that drive sales execution. This role enables Sales Operations leaders to focus on strategic initiatives, business insights, transformation efforts, and executive support.
Responsibilities
- Maintain the integrity of customer, account, territory, and hierarchy data across CRM and sales systems.
- Manage account lifecycle activities including account creation, account moves, ownership changes, hierarchy maintenance, duplicate resolution, and customer record validation.
- Execute account governance processes including ProStore validation, Omnichannel validation, account verification, and business rule compliance.
- Perform account research, data enrichment, and segmentation validation using internal and external data sources.
- Support large-scale account cleanup initiatives including hierarchy rationalization, franchise identification, domain matching, and account classification projects.
- Maintain and improve account hierarchies, parent-child structures, and B2B/B2C account relationships.
- Support territory planning, account alignment, quota administration, and target-setting processes.
- Manage workflow approvals and operational activities related to account moves, territory changes, and planning cycles.
- Assist with forecasting, performance management, and sales planning activities through data preparation, validation, and system administration.
- Provide ad hoc account research, customer analysis, and operational support for Sales, Sales Operations, Marketing, Finance, and leadership teams.
- Identify opportunities to improve business processes, increase automation, and enhance data quality.
- Partner with stakeholders across Sales, Operations, Finance, Marketing, and IT to drive operational consistency and process excellence.
- Support business transformation initiatives, system enhancements, and data migration efforts.
Basic Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Information Systems, Data Analytics, or related field.
- Experience in Sales Operations, Business Operations, Analytics, CRM Administration, or a related operational support role.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with Microsoft Dynamics, Salesforce, or other CRM platforms.
- Experience supporting territory management, account management, quota administration, or sales planning processes.
- Familiarity with Power BI, Qlik, Tableau, Power Query, or similar analytics and reporting tools.
- Experience with account hierarchies, customer master data, and data governance practices.
- Experience leveraging third-party data sources such as Dun Bradstreet, ZoomInfo, or similar enrichment platforms.
- SQL, data querying, or data transformation experience.
- Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills with exceptional attention to detail.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and high-volume operational processes while maintaining accuracy.
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and experience working with large data sets.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills with the ability to work across cross-functional teams.
- Demonstrated ability to improve processes and drive operational efficiency.
