Bodine Electric of Decatur is seeking a Chief Financial Officer to oversee its fiscal health and integrity and anchor the day-to-day financial operations that support our contracting, repair and sales teams.
This position is operationally active in all the company’s financial functions, including internal auditing, tax reporting, payroll, insurance, benefits administration and ensuring compliance with accounting standards.
The CFO will advise management on the company’s financial well-being, help analyze decisions for financial soundness and forecast future needs and trends. Becoming an expert with internal accounting systems is critical for this position, allowing the CFO to direct accounting and support staff successfully and help department leads base decisions on quality data.
A bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance is required, and candidates should have previous work experience in a similar role. The ability to maintain confidentiality is a must. Knowledge of construction industry financial nuances — such as project accounting, job costing, WIP, prevailing wage reporting, retainage, etc. — is preferred.
Compensation for this position will be commensurate with experience; the position is eligible for potential incentive and bonus pay. Bodine offers a complete benefits package, including a 401(k) plan and health, life and dental insurance.
