Job Description
Carlisle Construction Materials (CCM) is one of Carlisle Companies’ (CSL) core segments, providing commercial roofing systems. CCM’s growth is central to CSL’s Vision 2030 ambition of doubling EPS to $40 – a goal that depends on step-change innovation, expansion into new addressable markets and a more systemized, value-add approach to the portfolio. Carlisle Construction Materials (CCM) is creating a dedicated Strategy function to close the gap between where the business is today and what Vision 2030 requires. The Strategy Manager will own the development of Business / Segment Strategy and Go-To-Market Strategy for CCM – setting the direction for who we target, what we offer, how we reach them, and whether we have the capability to deliver. This is a high-accountability, high-visibility role: the strategic direction of the organization runs through the work this leader owns.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Business & Segment Strategy
- Own the development of Business/Segment Strategy – market choice, portfolio priorities, and competitive positioning – that feeds CCM's Long-Range Plan and enterprise strategy, building a consistently-owned, repeatable process.
- Conduct market, competitive, and customer analyses to identify growth opportunities, adjacencies, and strategic risks across segments.
- Partner with business leaders to develop, challenge, and refine segment strategies, prioritizing where CCM competes and invests.
- Build fact-based recommendations, leveraging TAM/SAM sizing, financial modeling, and market insights, that shape the Long-Range Plan and capital allocation decisions.
- Build compelling business cases and executive-ready presentations that influence senior leadership decision-making.
- Go-To-Market Strategy Development
- Own the end-to-end development of GTM Strategy – market/segment prioritization, customer & competitive intelligence, value proposition, offer definition and go-to-market playbook – translating segment strategy into disciplined, actionable go-to-market plans that drive the direction and results of the business.
- Design and drive the demand pull-through strategy in partnership with Sales, Marketing, R&D and other supporting functions, ensuring alignment on go-to-market plans and value capture.
- Drive go-to-market execution for new product and innovation launches, ensuring clear product lifecycle plans and progress are delivering short and long-term objectives.
- Ensure positioning and price maximize economic value and support top and bottom-line growth.
- Partner with marketing and others to ensure a systematic, repeatable VOC and competitive intelligence capability; translating insight into strategies that strengthen share and drive customer loyalty.
- Equip Sales with the insights, content, and playbooks needed to increase conversion and pricing discipline.
- Cross-Functional Alignment & Governance
- Drive shared accountability across Sales, Marketing, R&D, and Product Management, integrating GTM milestones with Stage-Gate PDP governance and other operating models, owning the GTM metric framework and operating cadence that keeps execution on track.
- Establish and manage program governance, performance metrics, and decision-making frameworks that give leadership visibility into progress and outcomes.
- Lead cross-functional teams through planning, readiness, and launch – coordinating training, tools, and communications to ensure strategies land successfully in market.
- Serve as a trusted advisor to functional leaders, building alignment and influence in a matrixed organization without direct authority.
- Monitor performance against targets and recommend course corrections to improve business outcomes.
- Other duties as assigned

- Experience conducting market, customer, and competitive analysis to support growth, pricing, or investment decisions
