Key Responsibilities For The Chief Financial Officer (CFO)
- Lead all financial operations, including accounting, budgeting, forecasting, reporting, cash management, and internal controls.
- Develop and execute financial strategies that support organizational goals and long-term sustainability.
- Present financial performance, insights, and recommendations to executive leadership and the Board.
- Oversee compliance, nonprofit reporting requirements, grant funding, restricted funds, and the annual audit process.
- Mentor and develop the finance and accounting team while partnering with department leaders on budgeting and resource planning.
Qualifications For The Chief Financial Officer (CFO)
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, or a related field.
- Significant financial leadership experience, ideally within a nonprofit environment.
- Strong expertise in financial reporting, budgeting, forecasting, and strategic financial planning.
- Experience working with executive leadership teams, Boards of Directors, and nonprofit funding structures, including grants and restricted funds. CPA preferred.
