The
Deal Desk Manager position exists to oversee and streamline the deal approval process, ensuring that each sales proposal aligns with the company's policies, capabilities, and financial objectives. This role is pivotal in facilitating collaboration between sales, finance, legal, and operations departments to expedite deal closures, optimize profit margins, and enhance customer satisfaction. By providing strategic insights, tools, and guidelines, the Deal Desk Manager helps the sales team navigate complex deal structures efficiently, mitigating risks while accelerating the sales cycle.
What You’ll Do - Deal Structuring and Strategizing: Directs the development and execution of strategic deal plans, working closely with sales teams to construct deals that maximize revenue without compromising on deal margin while maintaining compliance with company policies and customer requirements.
- Analyzes deal profitability, pricing structures, and contract terms to ensure they meet business objectives and revenue goals.
- Influence: Sales Team Productivity, Cost of Sales (deal margin), Opportunity conversion
- Cross-Functional Coordination (RFP/RFI/ETC): Acts as the primary liaison between sales, finance, legal, Information Security and operations teams, ensuring seamless communication and collaboration during the deal review and approval process.
- Facilitates negotiations by providing necessary documentation and insights, helping to remove roadblocks and expedite deal closure.
- Influence: Sales Team Productivity, Opportunity conversion
- Compliance and Risk Management: Vigilantly monitors deal parameters to ensure strict adherence to internal controls and external regulations, identifying potential risks and proposing mitigation strategies. The goal here is to maximize deal margin.
- Implements standardized protocols for deal approvals, ensuring consistency, fairness, and compliance across all transactions.
- Influence: Sales velocity (deal not held up with OTC/less back and forth for discounts), Cost of Sales via ASP (greater deal margin), Sales Team productivity (deals not held up).
- Process Improvement and Scalability: Continuously assess and refine deal desk policies, procedures, and tools to enhance scalability and efficiency in response to evolving business needs.
- Leads initiatives to automate and streamline the deal review process, reducing dependencies on manual methods.
- Key Result: Implementation of deal desk automation leading to an improvement in operational efficiency. This refers to those processes around deal desk that have the potential for automation.
- Influence: Sales Productivity; Sales Velocity
- Performance Analysis and Reporting: Oversees the collection, analysis, and reporting of deal desk-related data, providing critical insights into deal trends, win-loss metrics, and performance against goals.
- Leverages data analytics to forecast trends, track team performance, and inform strategic decision-making.
- Key Result: Enhanced data accuracy and availability leading to more informed strategic decisions. This refers specifically to those dashboards/reports that capture deal desk related metrics.
- Influence: Forecasting Accuracy, Opportunity conversion
About You
- 4+ years working with RFPs, RFIs, creating custom deals, etc.
- BA/BS; master’s preferred
- Effective communication, written and verbal
- Strong problem-solving skills and comfort with change
- Experience in using Salesforce or other CRM
- Strong data analysis using Microsoft Office, Salesforce, PowerBI, etc.
- Ability to effectively present to all levels of a business including the C-Suite

Base pay offered will depend upon qualifications and other operational considerations. Base pay is one part of Bluebeam’s Total Rewards program, which seeks to compensate and recognize employees for their work. Most sales positions are eligible for commission under the terms of an applicable commission plan, while most non-sales position are eligible for a bonus under the terms of an applicable bonus plan. Base salary range for this position is $105,800 – $132,100.
