Role Description
The Sales Operations Analyst / Deal Desk Specialist / Quote-to-Cash Coordinator supports efficient sales execution and accurate commercial processing from opportunity management through quotation, contracting, order fulfilment, invoicing, and payment coordination. These positions improve operational visibility, strengthen deal controls, and help sales teams progress customer transactions with clear terms and reliable information.
The position works closely with Sales, Finance, Legal, Revenue Operations, Customer Success, Billing, and delivery teams. Responsibilities include reviewing opportunity records, preparing sales reports, validating quotations, coordinating approvals, and resolving discrepancies across commercial documents and business systems. The role maintains accurate records, tracks transaction milestones, and helps ensure that agreed pricing, contractual terms, order details, and billing instructions remain consistent throughout the process.
For Sales Operations Analysts, the emphasis is on CRM data quality, pipeline analysis, forecasting support, and process improvement. Deal Desk Specialists support complex deal structuring, pricing exceptions, approval workflows, and coordination of nonstandard commercial terms. Quote-to-Cash Coordinators manage operational handovers and transaction progress, addressing issues that delay order processing or invoicing. Across these positions, the role reduces avoidable errors, improves turnaround times, and supports a dependable customer purchasing experience.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Accounting, Economics, Operations, Information Systems, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
- Experience in sales operations, deal desk, commercial operations, order management, billing coordination, or revenue operations.
- Strong understanding of the sales lifecycle and the connections between opportunities, quotations, contracts, orders, invoices, and payments.
- For Sales Operations Analyst positions, experience analysing pipeline performance, sales productivity, forecast inputs, and CRM data quality.
- Proficiency in Excel and reporting tools, with the ability to validate data, investigate discrepancies, and present actionable findings.
- Experience using CRM platforms and familiarity with configure-price-quote tools, ERP systems, or billing applications.
- For Deal Desk Specialist positions, experience reviewing deal structures, coordinating pricing approvals, and documenting commercial exceptions.
- Understanding of discounting, margins, payment terms, contract duration, renewals, and other factors affecting deal economics.
- Ability to work with Legal and Finance to resolve nonstandard terms and obtain approvals within established authority limits.
- For Quote-to-Cash Coordinator positions, experience coordinating quotation, order-entry, fulfilment, and invoicing activities across teams.
- Ability to verify consistency between approved quotations, signed agreements, purchase orders, and billing instructions.
- Experience identifying process bottlenecks, tracking outstanding actions, and resolving issues that affect transaction completion.
- Awareness of internal controls, audit trails, segregation of duties, and the importance of accurate commercial records.
- Strong organisational skills and attention to detail, with the ability to manage multiple transactions and deadlines.
- Excellent communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills, with sound judgement when handling sensitive pricing and customer information.
